@immuchobligedtoyou
Yeah
Why am I seeing a tweet saying that Hikaru said the f slur?? That's not at all what he said?? A slur isn't a microaggression, it's just blatant aggression. Y'all are making it seem like Mkmkrn thinks calling ppl violent slurs is just a microaggression. It also doesn't make sense in context because after this Yoshiki thinks about other times he experienced microaggressions; y'all really think Yoshiki's MOM is calling him slurs??
The word Hikaru uses to criticize the protagonist of the movie they watched is the omonopia ナヨナヨ which means weakling, wimp, delicate, etc. Yes, what he said was rude and a microaggression but it's not the f slur. An example of a microaggression is: "you're pretty strong for a girl." An aggressive misogynistic slur is the c word. I am flabbergasted that so many people think calling someone the f word is just a microaggression.
hats… are my worst enemy
Tbf to Hikaru, although he was wrong for calling the male movie character a "sissy," he was someone Yoshiki felt comfortable enough with to cry in front of, so it's not like he was completely against men being emotional. And it seems like he genuinely was looking forward to the movie because it made Yoshiki cry, even though he ended up hating it. Maybe he was hoping the movie would make him cry too.
what about our promise?
you'd think that "inhuman thing that isn't a person but speaks like a person and talking to it will slowly drive you mad" would only be found in folktales and fables and so on. but no. chatgpt
Love Yoshiki's smile & laugh after recalling a bad moment w/ Hikaru. When you truly love a fellow human being you love them in spite of their flaws. If you only love an idealized version of someone then you don't truly love them. That he wants to remember the real Hikaru & not a fake ideal version of him shows just how much Yoshiki continues to love Hikaru.
HOT DAYUM thats a sexy Christmas tree 🎄
