A peaceful night for the potion bottle, as he spent his night inside his shop simply cleaning bottles. Must have them shining for the next customer! Perhaps it'll be from those more brighter places, he thought to himself.
He was wiping down yet another bottle, seemingly zoning out. The bell above the door ringed, someone was here. He jolts his head up at the newcomer.
"Ah! Salve! Forgive me, hee hee! You caught me at a... bad... time..."
"Oh-! Um..- Hello there..?"
The potion bottle pasued, seeing the supposed stranger in his shop. An eerie, expressionless glare that gave Lantern chills.
"I... saw your.. paper.."
Silence, still. Before he slowly tilted his head.
"Pa..per... hee.. yes, yes! My paper! You saw it! You must have! Intra, intra!!"
He gestures his hand in a beckoning motion. Lantern glances down at the light on their staff before walking in, the door closing behind them.
"We were just... curious.."
"Yes, yes, curious indeed!! Hee hee hoo! As am I! What can I do for you this night?"
He intertwines his fingers on the counter. A smile evident from his eyes alone.
"Oh.. well.. we're just.. exploring.. I guess..."
The potion bottle nodded in understanding, leaning up over the counter, getting nearly in their face.
"I have not seen you around? New to Moonglade, sic?"
"Uh- yeah.. ...this is what this place is called..?"
"Mhm! Vicus Moonglade! The town anywho. This wonderland is called Silva Aeternitatis! Er- The Forest of Eternity!"
The Forest of Eternity..? A pit forms in their stomach... the strings not linking up why. They hate this feeling so much.. it's quite annoying by this point. They snap out of their thoughts as the potion bottle drums their fingers against the counter.
".......Well! Feel free to explore! Yell if you need of me, hee hee hoo!"
"Oh, thank you, I will..."
As Lantern began walking around the shop, preoccupied with other wares, the potion bottle slips into the back, immediately eyeing a set of tarot cards their sibling had possesion of. They were not here, no harm. He grabbed the deck, flipping through the cards until he stumbled upon one in particular. One that shared the figure of the fresh face.
He was startled out of his trance, whipping back around to the door.
"Coming, amicus!"
He didn't bother cleaning of the scattered mess of cards. As he went back to the front, the child was standing at the counter.
"Yes, yes?"
"I.. um.. what's your name..?"
Ah! What a perfect time to learn theirs as well!
"Hee hee! Selcouth! You?"
"Selcouth.. I'm.. I'm Lantern. This is Ember."
They motion towards the lantern on their staff... A glass head tilt as nothing but silence responds.
".. ahem."
*Oh, right. Hello.*
A voice announces from the seemingly magic light.
"Oh! You talk! Hee hee! Are you magic?"
*I.. guess?*
"Mirabile! Splendidum! How fascinating... Lantern and Ember.. hee hee! You come from outside, yes? Perhaps you could fill me in?"
Startled by the sudden question, Lantern glances back at Ember, before beginning to talk about the differet lands.
Minutes. Perhaps hours go by? There is a lot to talk about after all.. yet, by the time they finish their.. very uncoordinated spiel, the moon hadn't moved an inch. The bottle listened close to every word.
"Hee hee! How lovely! I may go visit more! Hee... heh... ..."
"...."
Silence as the two exchange glaces again.
"Hm! Well, I shouldn't keep you busy! There's so much more to explore of Moonglade! Just eh... stay away from that theater... you won't like him."
He stands up, beginning to push them out towards the door.
"Wh- Wai-"
"Gratias tibi ago bene vale!"
He shuts the door, locking them outside before the lights cut out inside.
"..."
*Rude.*
"Hm... he was.. odd.. why was he..?"
*Maybe he's just like that. Who knows. C'mon, you wanna explore? Let's explore.*
"Okay.."
Selcouth has his back against the door, staring at the card of the hermit and the emperor.
"... Tempus tuum mox adest, domine mi aeterne.. hee hee hee hee hoo..!"

Quick idea sketch of how I'll update Icia's outfit
We got actual shoulder armor, a chest plate, and some of those decorative hip guards, plus elbow armor that I may replace with gauntlets. The hip guards are attached to a belt that has the Kingdom's symbol, a 4 point star. May still be made of pearl, I'm not quite sure yet.
Her iconic face-cover is back as well! This time, it's an attachment to her cape, that fastens in front of her mouth. Likely, it'll be the same color as her outfit underneath, but that's subject to change. The underside of the cape may have a slight star pattern.
Her tunic is mostly unchanged other than a small design change, and the skirt now has a gold lining at the edge. Shoes and gold crown are the only things that have remained completely the same.
I can't wait to start digitally drawing this out!!!
"......" Lantern stared upon the rows of towers of purple trees. The night sky barely visible if not for the cleared pathway at their feet. They grip upon their staff, a sense of anxiety arising within.
*I don't like it here. Lantern can we please leave.* Ember replied, currently stationary as she rests upon their staff.
"It.. it'll be fine! There wouldn't be a paper if there were nothing.. r..right?" Lantern replied, pushing down their worry.
*Please, I just have a very bad feeling about this place...*
They paused as they looked at the starry void and the colorful island of the circus behind them. The bright familiarity overshadowed by the dark uncomfort of the forest, with what seems to be such a distance away, when it took barely no time to arrive.
They stayed quiet, turning their gaze ahead as they marched foward on the blue brick path.
Visible from the edge of the circus, an orange and red light was engulfed in darkness.
(Lantern and Ember are now only accessible in Eternity.)
