Do they enjoy sleeping near starlight, perhaps? Or are they too far from any stars to enjoy their warmth?

Starlet has a mini portable nightlight made from small chunks of stars, it is the closest thing they have to warmth and star/sunlight aside from their own body heat. Some planets they visit on their journey are closer to stars, so they do get some naturally from time to time, but it is not nearly as warm as the sun.

Does Starlet prefer to sleep in the warm sunlight or dark moonlight?

Starlet is stranded out in the galaxy and has never felt the warm loving touch of sunlight, which is why they are searching for the mother, aka Sun, so they can finally feel a warm loving embrace and sleep for the rest of eternity.
