“So” Lucas plopped down on the chair turning slightly toward the other. “Things are done, tasks complete, it’s just you and me.” He was quiet for a moment awkwardly picking at thread on his pants, “so what should we do now?”

Imogen pulled her attention away from the completed checklist in front of herself and looked around, admiring the work they had done, “we did it.” She tucked a few hair strands behind her ear and turned to him. Her hazel hues fell on the string now receiving his attention and hers too and that was when her stomach made an audible grumble, hunger presenting itself shamelessly. “Sorry,” she hugged herself, clearing her throat. “Are you as hungry as I evidently am?”
