Issue 4 of our newspaper touches on a topic I’ve personally felt lately having more “why am I even doing this?” moments than days creating and I know I can’t be only one feeling like this so I decided to take a different approach when it came to celebrating Black pride this October. I want to celebrate what gives you pride amongst the storm. And on those days that you decide that all you can do is simply be, what does that look like for you? How do we muster up Black pride and create when existing within itself can be most challenging? I want the unsung stories shared this issue, our most vulnerable, raw. This issue aims to showcase those that do & maybe serve as a little light amongst all the darkness to those who want to try again. I hope you find it in your heart to share your words, your artistry, time, ears, and heart as you submit your work.
