shi huazhen who , when 19 , got into a fight with shi yihua in front of their father . yihua challenged huazhen to a fight , and because he wanted to prove his worth , he accepted .

turns out ! it was a duel to the death . yihua utilized shi family tech that huazhen hadnt yet learned how to use , so of course huazhen got his shit Rocked . decapitation .

the shi familt has some of the finest boluses in daguanyuan , reviving him wasnt a challenge . but the very experience was so shameful and agonizing that huazhen immediately picked up learning the shi family tech . he never wanted to die like that , ever again .

the first time shi huazhen died as an lcb sinner was horrific . it wasnt just the physical pain of getting beaten to a pulp , but the fear of feeling death itself . the cycle repeats , and hes stuck at the mercy of the stronger .

hes not as angry as he thought he would be upon revival . hes just scared , mostly . and betrayed . it wasnt the kind of power he asked for or dreamed of , it was a nightmare thatd haunted him for almost a decade . he avoided the other sinners as much as possible for about a week before he got used to the idea .

even then , he never really got over it . he gets nightmares of dying brutally , painfully , without any dignity . one of his biggest fears is becoming some lobotomized version of himself , stuck wandering aimlessly for eternity .
