idk why it’s so sexy to me to imagine a significant other miserably, visibly sick with a cold at work, or while studying. It’s been said so many times but the troupe of someone overworking themselves to the point of getting a cold is just 👌

The worries of seeing this person with dark circles becoming more prominent. A happy go lucky demeanor, or a stressed out mess. Fumbling with easy things, like going to pour a cup of coffee but holding the mug upside down. Or maybe being jumpy since they are so on edge

The eventually snzing that is becoming noticeable in numbers, or sound, or different pattern. Overworked probably not even realizing.

And then the eventually breaking point. Body giving up in some way. Extreme would be fainting, but also just falling asleep somewhere they aren’t meant to. Snoring from congestion, and it’s now the opportunity to check the fool for a fever

When someone says they “just have a cold”

Downplaying everything. Downplaying how sexy it is that their voice is slightly croaky and deeper, that their nose is a little bit pink, they are pale, they have to carry around tissues, they are sleepy because the congestion kept them from sleeping properly, they apologise when they interrupt the conversation with their coughs and sneezes.
