For your upcoming Saw story, what do I need to have watched to have the proper context?

I've seen Saw (2004), Saw II (2005), Saw III (2006), Saw IV (2007), Saw V (2008), Saw VI (2009), Saw 3D (2010), Jigsaw (2017), Spiral (2021), and Saw X (2023). I watched the short film Full Disclosure Report (2005) but not the The Scott Tibbs Documentary (2006). Is it enough for me to watch a longplay on Youtube of the two Saw videogames, or do I need to play through them to get the full experience?

a good start! definitely hit up the scott tibbs doc and when you play the konami abandonware videogames make sure you get both endings in both games (i know that the freedom ending in the first game is canon but the other helps gives context about tapp's character) and you also learn the backstories of important characters like obi and others. the second game you have to play twice fully to get both endings but it's totally worth it! also watch the original saw (2003) short film which has the best title logo design in the franchise. you're going to want to check out the unofficial saw musical (NOW TOURING, though you can find slime tutorials on youtube) and the non-canon comic saw: rebirth (first appearance of jill tuck!) and tobin bell's country songs and the DEAD BY DAYLIGHT saw dlc and obviously the gamestop saw NFT collection on gamestop marketplace and can't, can't forget about dick chibble's CLASSIC saw: a hardcore parody (first appearance of detective humpsy!) and scary movie 4 and chester bennington's entire catalog and SAW: THE RIDE (no, watching the video isn't enough, you have to go to london) and THE OFFICIAL SAW ESCAPE ROOM in clark county (yes, you have to go to nevada, the one in london sucks, DO NOT GET IT MIXED WITH SAW: ESCAPE EXPERIENCE) and saw at halloween horror nights (yes, you have to go to california, the one in orlando sucks (though orlando's does have the better five night's at freddy's haunted house, which you don't *need* to go to but it provides atmospheric context) and you should probably donate at least five pints of blood at an official SAW BLOOD DRIVE too (it's okay to give less if you bring friends) and the first season of reality television show scream queens (2008) and the second season of scream queens (2009) and bavitz's upcoming novel 1/X and sean patrick flannery's novel "jane two" (it's GRIPPING) and homestuck (2009) and also make sure you have seen the secret saw 6 post-credits scene (a lot of fans haven't and it helpfully sets up saw 3) and saw 10's mid and post credits scene too, which i do think most fans have seen but it's good to rewatch. MAKE SURE you read the entire court transcription of cary elwes lawsuit against lionsgate (if you were there in-person like me that's fine too), also kevin gruetert's other movies JESSABELLE (2014) and VISIONS (2015) and JACKALS (2017) and any off-off-off-broadway or high school production of REPO! THE GENETIC OPERA, you should also watch the movie but you do have to see the show too and THE NUN 2 (the worst horror movie of all time) or any movie set in the CONJURING UNIVERSE except for the first one and the parody nicole kidman ad lionsgate did to promote saw 10 that amc made them stop showing in theaters because it owned them too hard and was too funny,

and the first eight minutes of THE BYE BYE MAN and the script for the deleted BLENDER TRAP in saw 4 and every song by the nine inch nails and every song charlie clouser has ever written, and CRANK and CRANK 2: HIGH VOLTAGE and all the great concept art obviously. you can buy real functioning reverse bear traps online and i'm not going to tell you you HAVE to do it but it's sort of expected, and forest gump, you should watch AND read forest gump and also read forest gump 2 (GUMP AND CO.) and watch the 2022 oscars and read the lorax and probably watch se7en and the illumination lorax too i guess, which i always thought was a good movie but is very overrated (se7en i mean, the lorax is awesome) and also watch manhattan because tobin bell is an extra in that and also make sure you see that one episode of seinfeld where tobin bell works at a record store.

Each November, some people try to write a novel. Others would prefer to do as little writing as possible. For those who wish to challenge their ability to not write, we offer this alternative: producing a complete, playable roleplaying game in two hundred words or fewer.

Teleportation Ritual For Beginners

A one word story game for groups. As a circle, describe the perilous supernatural locale your uncalibrated teleport has landed you. Each player provides only a single word at time, starting with the youngest and proceeding clockwise. Teleportation is dangerous. No matter how peaceful your destination initially appears, a threat will emerge and threaten your lives. When the next word would spell your demise, it’s time to JUMP.

JUMP is a special word. When a player says JUMP in a perilous situation, that player closes their eyes, and the group teleports out of danger and into a new locale, establishing a new scene. When all players have JUMPed, the ritual stabilizes, and the group is returned to their original place and time. Each player may only JUMP once per game, or risk being stranded at their destination. Similarly, the ritual fails if a player takes more than five seconds to add a word to the story, or uses the same word more than once in a row. The final loss condition is, obviously, a grisly end at the hands of far-flung hazards. Before that happens, JUMP.
