@impmom
You can tell how wealthy a town is by how many stores for dogs they have.
I keep seeing pedophile accounts on here, increasingly so since about a year ago. It really disturbs me, especially when I see them trying to latch onto LGBT acceptance and interacting with younger users on this site. Any advice on how to deal with them since tumblr is so shit at moderating their own site?
Ridicule them and shut them out of the movement to show that LGBT spaces are not safe for pedophiles to be in. Make them feel out of place in LGBT discussions. Make it hard to admit to being a pedophile because thereâs fear of backlash and exclusion. On tumblr we can make them risk being reported, ridiculed, and with luck banned through keeping records on them and making it feel like the site wants them gone.
These 3 deserved to actually be in the post because theyâre all good advice
I look at my Kik last night to find a message from this dude. Probably a troll but creepy and cringey either way.
Btw the video was of him holding up a gun to the camera and shaking his head. So thatâs cool I guess.

Dec 4: Remember that time we learned Clark Kent totally peeked at all his Christmas presents with his X-Ray vision? (Justice League, âComfort and Joyâ)
Because Clark is awesome and loves christmas.
remember that time we learned clark kent is a grown man who still believes santa exists
Heâs an alien and a superhero who knows other superheros in a world with a talking telepathic Gorilla, ofc he believes, anything is game.
Thats because Father Christmas/Santa Claus totally DOES exist in the DC universe, and  every year, without fail, Santa fights through Apokolipsâ defenses just to give a lump of coal to Darkseid.
So by now everyoneâs seen/heard the quote that the Incrediblesâ superpowers are meant to represent their stereotypical role within the family unit (dad has to be strong to support the family, mom has to stretch in all directions etc) and I remember reading that Violet being able to generate force fields was supposed to be a metaphor for her âputting up wallsâ and being defensive, which fits into the shrinking violet/moody teenager she represented during the first movie. After her character development she becomes a lot more confident and open, so those walls begin coming down and what her force fields represent in terms of her character becomes a bit less clear.Â
When the trailers for Incredibles 2 started coming out it looked like everyoneâs powers still represented their role in the family AND in the plot except for Violetâs, which made me start worrying they were going to do her character dirty and undo all her character development from the first film (especially with those clips of her trying to destroy her supersuit and getting caught by Tony). But as more trailers and clips have come out itâs becoming clearer what her role is now

its weird being 18, 19, 20 in 2016 because i remember going into kindergarten and seeing those chunky ass giant computers at the desk and then going through school while technology rapidly develops and graduate in a world where people can have the entire internet and more just in their pocket like idk its so strange to me
sorry to add to the post but I remember in 5th grade when they invented the âsmart whiteboardâ and my school won one for the library and everyone lost their shit because they were so expensive and I graduated high school last year and by the time I graduated every single classroom had one. Watching technology go from glitchy and expensive to powerful and affordable within less than ten years continues to blow my mind
no but also like owning a flip phone was the Coolest Shitâą and you could take photos(???) and it was like so incredible, and it was all fun and games until you pressed the key for THE INTERNET and you knew youâd be charged so you pressed that cancel key eighty times and prayed to god that heâd take mercy on youâŠand then iphones became a thing and it was like unreal
Going from vcrs and huge roll in tvs to streaming the movie online and projecting that onto the smart board within the span of 5-10 years.
ok but do you guys remember before proper projectors were put in there was the overhead projector that could only read clear plastics and it projected using light and mirrors
Technology
remember when you got your first phone, and it had monoton/polyphone ringtones=? OR THE FIRST TIME YOU COULD ACTUALLY PUT A SONG AS YOUR RINGTONE 1:1 that was such a huge thingâŠ..Also the first phones with coloured displays, 100x100px photosâŠâŠgod what a timeâŠ.
I remember before iPods became a thing and I was in like 5th grade and I got a Walkman CD player (because regular CD players would skip and shit if you moved them too much and walkmans were like A+ technology that you could listen to CDs on the go) and I had like the whole case of CDs Iâd take with me everywhere. Then iPods became the new norm and everyoneâs mind was collectively blown

On the 16th of march, 1998, 11-year-old Christina Nytsch disappeared while walking home from an indoor swimming pool in Cloppenburg, Germany. Five days later, her body was found in the woods near her home in Struecklingen. She had been raped, stabbed and strangled.
DNA on the knife found at the scene of the murder matched DNA from semen taken from an 11-year-old girl who had been raped in 1996. Based on the girlâs description of her attacker, police decided the would ask local men from the ages of 18-30 to voluntarily supply their DNA. It was the largest voluntary DNA test to date with 16,400 local men coming forward for their saliva to be swabbed.
This mass DNA testing led to 30-year-old mechanic Ronny Rieken who had provided a DNA sample. After his arrest, he readily confessed to both the murder and the earlier rape. He confessed that he had abducted Christina after watching her walk down the street. He then took her to the woodland and raped and strangled her with a cable. Beforehand, he had beat the young girl when she didnât want to take her clothes off. Following his arrest, Rieken led police to the body of 13-year-old Ulrike Everts. In June of 1996, Rieken had abducted Ulrike and raped and strangled her by a canal near Kampe.
Rieken had earlier been charged with the rape of his sister as well as a neighbourhood girl when he was 19. He was found guilty and sentenced to 15 years. In 2012, it was announced that the earliest date he could be paroled in 2021.
