Clara is River’s second wife and you can’t convince me otherwise.
Hey guys! I’ve been trying to be more active on here, but I’ve just been going through a bit of a rough streak, and my motivation is really low. BUT. If anyone wants to hit me up on discord, I tend to reply a lot faster there. Just message me if you want it!
To be quite honest, telling the team that she just needed a few days in London to clear her head had been half an excuse. She did need time away to properly grieve her grandson’s death but she knew she would never be over it. That life would just need to provide enough distractions from the pain for her to operate somewhat normally. It had been decades and a part of her still grieved for losing her brother.
The main reason for London to be her getaway was that she had heard from a certain friend in UNIT that a lot of things had changed with the Doctor. Two new faces since the last time she had seen him, according to Kate. And the companion that was him was very intriguing to Jaclyn. Clara Oswald. The woman’s name and description had popped enough times, with and without the telltale signs of the Doctor, that she had taken notice. For the amount of research that Jac had been able to gather, this woman was more than a companion. There were death records for some of the woman’s lives. Which she knew well enough could be easily faked. But she just had the nagging suspicion that if Clara was purely human, she was something special indeed. And she had the tiniest bit of hope that maybe she was special like Jaclyn, immortal like her, a temporal anomaly like her. That she was someone that could understand her far more than any member of Torchwood could. It was a hope she knew could easily be dashed. But hell. She was going to try anyway.
A visit to UNIT to catch up with Kate and learn more than what classified emails could contain proved to be equally beneficial. There was only so much her friend could say with the fear of being overheard or taped. But Jac got enough to back up her plan. It was a completely luck reliant plan. She thought she tried her usually good luck and see if she hung around if she could get any sign of Clara or the Doctor. It was a shot in the dark but one that she was very willing to take.
This led to a lot of time spent wandering the city. She was about to give up and go to her hotel for the night when there was a gut feeling telling her to turn down to a very suburban street. She drove slowly, very aware that she could seem like a strange woman to anyone that lived or went down the street; she was prepared with the “I’m lost” line in case anyone asked. That nagging feeling was still persistent but offered no more help in direction. She pulled over and dropped her head to the steering wheel, sighing. It was a waste of time, wasn’t it?
Traveling here and there was fun, but it wasn’t fun when you were heading to your inevitable death, and most of all, being alone, was the worst part. Ashildr hadn’t stuck around for long, thought there was better, bigger things to see. Clara couldn’t say that she blamed her. Traveling with a dead woman was bound to be unsettling for a person, even for someone who had lived as long as Ashildr had.
How many years had she been taking the ‘long way around’? One hundred? Two hundred? Taking her time in seeing everything the universe had to offer, took a long time. But she was lonely. She missed the Doctor terribly, and he couldn’t even remember her. She thought that was what hurt the most. Looking into his eyes and just...nothing. Nothing there. He was looking right at her, and he couldn’t see her.
She shook off her thoughts of the Doctor as she parked her TARDIS, with a gentle whir and a thud. Her TARDIS was much softer, mainly due to the fact that she didn’t leave the breaks on all the time. She had since fixed the chameleon circuit, because traveling all of time and space in a diner, wasn’t the most convenient.
She had punched in some random coordinates, just for the hell of it, so she wasn’t exactly sure where she was, or when, for that matter. Stepping out, she realized she was on quite the suburban street, rather quiet, dark. Must have been rather late at night. Her trained eyes confirmed that she was in London, twenty-first century. It was always a bit disorienting to return to her time, the one she had left behind, so, so long ago. Shaking that feeling off, she started down the street, smoothing out her pale blue skirt. A little adventure never hurt anyone.
She walked a little ways, before she saw a lone car, pulled over, lights still on. Clara frowned a bit, and narrowed her eyes. She could see a woman behind the wheel, forehead resting down. She looked almost...sad. Of course, this peeked her interest, and she found herself heading in that direction.

She supposed that this was her fault, after all, she did start it. She had started the teasing early on in the day, and it just kept going, perhaps they should have left it to the bedroom. But where was the fun in that?
Her hands were now pinned, much to her pleasure, with a bit of a roughness, another thing that she found out she very much enjoyed. It wasn’t enough to actually hurt, but rough enough to make a warm heat shoot from the top of her head, all the way to her toes.
His eyes bore into her own, a certain glint sparkling in the corner. Of what, she couldn’t quite place. Clara arched a curious eyebrow, a smirk playing on her lips, and before she could so much as utter out a word, that smirk was wiped clean off her face when teeth was met at the skin on her neck.
He very well knew her neck was her weak spot, and that was highlighted in the groan that escaped her lips, accompanied by hands sliding into Will’s hair, long enough for her to tug and rake through.
“You’re-” another whimper. “You’re goin’ to leave a mark;”
I’m slowly getting through drafts guys, I legit have had zero motivation so I apologize for that.
Rose;
Rose shook her head as she pulled herself together, sitting back up a little bit, taking Clara’s hand in hers as it slid free from around her waist once more. She groaned as she wiped her face. “Oh gods… I’m sorry…” she whispered once more. Raising her hands she covered her face and stayed like that for a few moments, taking deep breaths. When she was under control, she lowered her hands and took Clara’s own. “Clara, I used my power to save you… But I still can’t… I still can’t quite control it. I pour too much in and- and-”
Her lip trembled and she bit it hard. The one thought she couldn’t shake was that Clara would hate her now, would hate her for making it so she couldn’t die. Maybe she wouldn’t now but maybe after ten… twenty… fifty times… Clara would hate her eventually. Rose wasn’t sure she would ever be able to handle that.
“You can’t die Clara… Not ever.”
The words came out as a breathless whisper just before she cut her watery eyes down to her lap again, unable to bear looking Clara in the eye. Her fingers played with Clara’s hand in her own, though her fingers were loose enough to allow her to pull away if she wanted to.
Clara’s eyes traveled to their hands as Rose took it, frowning in slight confusion when she apologized. Why would she be apologizing for saving her life? That didn’t sound like something you should be apologizing for, it seemed rather silly. But instead of interjecting, she let her continue, concern on her features as the other covered her face for a few moments.
When she was told the news, she froze briefly. She...couldn’t die..? Ever? Her face contorted into a frown, but not one of anger or sadness, just..taking in the information. She racked her brain, where had she seen this before? She had seen it in Ashildr, who in the Doctor saving her, lived until the very end of the universe, and perhaps after, entirely alone. And..there had been another, she was sure of it. The Doctor had told her once...
Captain Jack Harkness.
But he never told her how that it had happened.
Now, she think she had figured it out.
Weakly, she squeezed the hand in her own, taking a tiny intake of breath.
“You just wanted to save me, how could I be mad at you for that?” She assured her softly, using her free hand to gently tip Rose’s chin up, giving her a tiny smile. “You won’t ever be alone now, now will you?”
~In a land of gods and monsters~
Vincent;
“In this world, lass, people like us have to be judge, jury, and executioner.” Vincent’s smile dimmed a little as he thought about the people he’d had to kill. “The people that get killed don’t really deserve a pleasant end.” In other words, the deaths he’d caused had been entirely deserving.
When she asked about why he was looking at her “like that”, he frowned, holding his head at an angle. “What d’you mean? I’m not looking at you like anything.” He was pretty embarrassed by her noticing of his mapping out her face and tried to cover it up by talking it away. “I’m looking at you normally, lass.”
Clara angled her chin up a bit. Despite the fact that she was fairly certain that this vampire wouldn’t have killed anyone unless they were deserving, she still didn’t like it. The kill. It was one of the reasons monsters got such bad reputations. For being monsters.
She curled her lip, but decided to just let it go, at least for the time being. She then moved to the way he was reacting to her observation of him looking at her, in a way she didn’t quite understand. “You’re studyin’ me.” She dared to take a few steps forward, her arms crossed across her chest. “And your heartbeat is risin’, like you’re embarrassed.” Her eyes narrowed.
“It’s hard to lie to a werewolf.”
