Time for your annual reminder this is not a race, you don’t have to rush yourself to your goal weight. you just need to eat better and move more and keep trying.
1lb a week is still 52lbs a year.
The only failure on this journey is Giving up.

There is no such thing as a fat burning food.
Calories burned by your body during the process of eating and digesting foods are already considered when calculating the Thermic Effect of Food (TEF). TEF usually takes up about 10% of foods, while some can reach up to 20%. This means that if the piece of celery you’re eating contains 8 calories, your body will use up 2 of those calories while processing it. That’s all.
“Fat burning” or “negative calorie” foods just mean that the total calories are negligible, or that these foods particularly nutrient-rich. You are NOT actually burning fat or getting rid of excess calories by eating this stuff. There is an incredibly low chance that you’re hitting “even,” let alone burning more than the food contains.
Eat these foods if you want to, but they are not magical. Eating them will not inherently help you lose weight or step into a healthy lifestyle - This is not a shortcut.
