I'm surprised you never watched Starsky and Hutch, that show is a landmark for gay ships, fanfiction, fanart, fanzines.

Eh, I never watched most media, no matter how load-bearing.

So anyway, I watched the movie of the week pilot, and I guess I liked it? I can see why the show is all of the above. Am I going to watch more? Probably. Am I like super into it? Probably not. The layer of idiocy I seek in movies and shows is present; it's spread thin so far, but there's hope.

Overall I'm not the biggest cop media person, and I like my cop media to be a little wackier, or to employ a zany civilian consultant of dubious legal status, or maybe have songs (I only saw a couple episodes of Cop Rock, but it made an impression.)

However, this 1970s grimy urban energy is doing it for me, and then there really are glimpses of that wackiness I desire, because seriously why are we in a steam room wearing only towels and holsters? Why are we in general a little too eager to take our clothes off during the investigation?

Why are we meeting with an informant in a porn theater?

I feel like I have questions that will never be adequately addressed, and now I understand even better why people were writing fanfics. Look at the material.

So okay fine I talked myself into watching more Starsky & Hutch.

But I promise nothing.

Hi! There’s occasionally a variety pack of genitals in a multitude of combinations for some of the pictures on Patreon, like the latest Supernatural or The Dukes of Hazzard.
