Hi! I'm Jasper. My pronouns are they/them, and my sexuality is yeah!
Asks are open :D
I am an adult, and I may have nsfw/nsft content on my blog. I don't care how old *you* are, as I'm not a strictly NSFW blog, but I do expect you to filter out content you shouldn't be seeing.
My blorbos are the Muppets, mlp, wtnv, The Peanuts, Lieutenant Columbo, and the cast of victorious (derogatory). If you put your fandoms/interests on my dash enough I'll reblog it :]
DNI below cut
This is less of a dni and more of a "Here's my firm beliefs" list. Do with it what you will :]
Transphobia is not tolerated here. That includes TERFS/SWERFS/truscum/transmeds.
If someone tells me their identity in good faith, I believe them. This includes microlabels, neopronouns, xenogenders, and confusing or contradictory labels and identities.
While I would love to be there for you, my mental health is my first priority, so please do not vent in my inbox. If you need help I can direct you elsewhere <3
It is all of our duties to fight White Supremacy. If you aren't interested in opposing facism, I urge you to ask yourself why.
Unlearning prejudices such as racism, sexism, antisemitism, Islamophobia, and many others are all part of the fight against White Supremacy. We are all at different places, so I don't fault people for being wrong- but I do for not being willing to learn and grow.
I am a leftist. If you're conservative, you might not like me. I stand for things such as Universal Basic Income, resources for addicts, disability justice, prison reform, abortion access, free Healthcare, intersectional feminisms, queer rights, guaranteed housing, environmental justice, and Reproductive Justice. I'm not here to debate, I block and move on.
I’m reblogging this 7-year-old comic of mine because, not only is it somehow still circulating, it just passed 400,000 notes??? Thank you, several hundred thousand internet strangers, for keepin’ this ol’ goat girl goin’ so long
(Also hi, I’m still making fairy-tale-flavored lesbian romance comics and have a new one coming out very soon…)
i'm breaking the author's silence to address these tags directly, because i've seen similar responses a few times. your context is part of you. you like your favorite band because you found them somehow. you speak the languages you speak because somebody else taught you. you feel the way you feel because you have memories and experiences. shaving off pieces of yourself will not reveal a truth at the center, and will only make you feel less like a person worth being. you will never shed your context or influences, anymore than you will ever become younger or undrink a glass of water. but you are free to create as much additional context as you like. build yourself outward instead of digging for yourself at the center. trying 100 new things will give you 100 more data points on what you like, don't like, think, believe, feel. it might begin to reveal an image of yourself that you can recognize, respect, and love. your life is not an object to be kept clean, it is an ongoing action that you get to control. also that's starlight glimmer not rarity.
when i was at walgreens (at 3 in the morning which explains all of this) the cashier was talking to her coworker about how shed rather be a werewolf than a vampire because vampires are condemned to hell but werewolves arent and then she asked me what i thought and i said vampire because im already condemned to hell and she said in the nicest tone of voice “i dont think anybody is condemned to hell….” paused, stared at me for a few moments, and added on “…not even gay people”
so last year during a period of intense suicidal depression i made this necklace that i always wear, right, and the thing is it's genuinely brought me a lot of comfort and relief and i've developed a strong sentimental attachment to it, to the point that i can inarguably state that it's had a net positive effect on my mental wellbeing. however i did now just have to stop to almost throw up laughing because i realised that i've succumbed to the amulet.
yeah the guy who invented them made incredibly precise infusion pumps (as opposed to gravity fed ivs) which not only meant they could give medications to teeny tiny babies safely, it's also used for insulin pumps and portable dialysis machines. the key element is that it's a peristaltic pump so the liquid stays in sterile tubing for safety
(unholy drink cloaca uses it to dispense precise amounts of flavored sugar syrup)
I actually do think we should discourage women from becoming housewives. Do not become financially dependent on a man. That's how a lot of women ended up dead over the years. A man gets violent suddenly and you have to choose between homelessness or potentially dying at his hand because you have an enormous gap in your resume and no degrees or certifications or anything that will help you pursue a career that will allow you to be financially independent. He owns your bank account. His name is probably the one on the car. Try and leave and he can report it stolen. Where will you go then?
Don't become a housewife.
