Ode to Mizu

We lost the most loyal, amazing, and beautiful dog today. Mizu I will miss you and your huge twinkling eyes that always gazed around (and at me) with wonder. I will miss the feeling of your fur and the gorgeous mix of your sun-kissed white and golden coat. I will miss how you always came to me looking for food or belly rubs whenever I was around (and I couldn't resist giving in, ever). I will miss how you would shimmy onto the bed when you thought we weren't paying attention. I even miss leaving the house with your shedded hair all over my clothes and shoes whenever we met. I'm sad that I won't ever get to see you again, pet you, and witness your derpy antics. You were always the happiest and cutest dog no matter what the situation, so thank you. I still have a scar on my left thigh were you scratched me one day from excitement to see me, and this way I will always remember you. Mizu, you are irreplaceable and we love you. We all miss you so much. I hope you're living it up in doggie heaven with all the treats and toys you could ever want. Take care my dearest Mizythra. Love Always, Jane V

This country is such a fucking joke. Did you know that if we were to divide the income in this country fairly it would be about 300,000 per person. That’s annually. You could give each person in this country 100,000 and still have enough to invest in infrastructure and research. Instead we have people who don’t have water, don’t have their basic human rights fulfilled, because they don’t have enough to pay a bill.

All I want to do is travel and watch musicals plays and concerts but saving money is hard. Like, for real. Even if I'm living at home I can't manage to save anything with all the loans and bills and helping out with other random expenses in the household. I feel like I'll need to either focus on paying my loans off now and start saving money after, or just pay them off little by little and save here and there. It's so hard tho cuz I want to do everything and so much and I really wish that going out made you skinny and rich instead of fat and broke. I also start to wonder if a debt-free life without being shackled to your education would be more ideal but then again, yeah, no.
