Heard that Kurt Vile and the Violators were going to be playing at the Grog Shop on April 1 this year and started sketching out some things. I love this guys stuff. If you are going to be in Cleveland around this time this band is real good and worth checking out. Doors open at 8 and tickets are $22-$25.

A poll in LA Times named Delly the “dirtiest player” in the NBA. The article then went on to quote multiple players and coaches anonymously who say he is not a dirty player, he just works hard and plays hard. Keep playing hard man!

Huge congratulations to Iman Shumpert and Teyana Taylor on the birth of the baby girl. If you have some free time search online and listen to the 911 call that Iman made while Teyana was starting to give birth in their own bathroom - it’s quite the heart warming tear jerker.

L.A. Times recently put Cleveland on its list of top places to visit in 2015 ~ proof of the rise of Cleveland. This post is a little dedication to one of the places Cleveland is most known for and one of the places L.A. Times decided to mention as reason to visit: The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

( a work in progress opening piece for my book )
This is a re-make of the Last Supper because Cleveland sports are on the rise. This summer started with some amazing games played by the Cavs in the 2015 NBA Finals. With some strong players on all teams and some amazingly spirited fans I believe in the #renaissanceofCLE
left to right: Kipnis, Gomes, Kloober, Thomas, Gordon, Manziel, LBJ, Thompson, Love, Irving, Williams, Brantley, Hadan.
I read in an article on the LA Times once that Cleveland was undergoing a renaissance back in the fall of 2014 due to the return of Lebron, the retrieval of Johnny Manziel for the Browns and the fact that the city would be hosting the Republican National Convention in 2016. While these were all obviously good things for the economy of the city I felt like the outside world still didn’t get it - what Cleveland was really about. In realizing this I began brainstorming for a book that I have been working on. To be a Clevelander means understanding that while we are no longer the forest city we once were, the parks, the beaches, and Lake Erie hold a special place in the hearts of everyone. We have art museums, art school, and countless art happenings and festivals taking place all over the city every day. There are a variety of music venues around the greater Cleveland Area bringing in every range of music all the way from the biggest name artists to not as known local bands. And honestly, what other city can be said to have a curse on their sports teams but still have fans with hearts so big that they are known as “Believeland”.
This city has every nickname in the book, good and bad but Cleveland has always had one name for me. I feel blessed every day that the name I get to call the CLE is home.
