Endings terrify me

People think I'm not intelligent because I won't read a book. The reason why I don't read books has nothing to do with my intelligence. I don't read books because I refuse to finish them. Whenever I get near the ending of a book, I will close it and never pick it up again. I do the same thing with television shows. Once I get close to the ending seasons, I stop watching. I move on to something new. You see, the thing about me is I hate endings. Ending a television show or a book feels like having a piece of my life ripped away from me. I get to invested in relationships. Relationships with the characters. They start to become my friends...my family. I could say the same thing about life. I probably never will get to my "ending". I will close the pages and turn off the tv. I will end things on my own terms, in the middle. With no clear end. Endings terrify me.
