Hogwarts Legacy throwaway. Sebastian Sallow and Ominis Gaunt are taking up all my thoughts these days. Might do some writing. Please be respectful

Also because I finally did a big move of screenshots: I have Snarry on my Tomodachi Life Island(Feat. Advanced Potions Making)!!!! This game is my utter joy and my island is full of characters that has been my loves throughout my life so Snarry being my most recent obsession is a rarity on it.

But they are /adorable/. Stuck in the crush phase but that's okay(Frusterating).

Snape is particularly adoarable in Mii form. He has so much ENERGY and will just run around his room and I love how bubbly he is in this universe(The joys of Tomodachi Life).

Harry is best friends with Eli Vanto from Star Wars while Snape hangs out sometimes with Thrawn and Tarkin.

I really want them to confess though.

I had something I wanted to go on about at work today but now all those thoughts are poof. They were Snape and Harry related though. Apparently reading OOTP as an adult made Snarry click for me with the occlumency arc and I've been on a kick for them since Friday. (As like a ship)

I just really love the mix of Harry realizing he recognizes himself in teen!Severus(But also them both realizing their childhoods were more similar than either wants to admit and the intimacy of just knowing... more... than anyone else does).

and the way he has to deal with James and Sirius falling from the pedestal he placed them/everyone else placed James on(And certainly, there's an argument with James. You don't talk bad about the dead. Especially not to their hero son. Unless you're the tree the axe cut down and then got forgotten about by the axe because the axe never remembers the harm it does. Everyone idealized James for Harry, because what else were they ever going to do.

And for the first time, he saw James... In motion capture(put him into bad light, sorry Taylor Swift reference). Not idolized post death. Not idealized. Just as he was. Spoiled and arrogant and bored and seeing a boy like Harry-abused and lonely- to torture to catch the attention of the girl).

I feel like neither can work alone. Both are crucial. The fall from the pedestal but also the understanding.

It just feels like such a good launch pad to something more. Understanding. Feelings. Trust. idk.

It's a little arc that has me thinking a lot about everyone(Besides Wormtail and maybe Lily but also-Sirius even admitted James remained an jerk, just hid it from her) now that I'm grown up and thinking about what the intimacy of knowing-seeing- someone you've always hated. It's very Pride and Prejudice after Darcy's letter and during the visit to Pemberly.

So idk if anyone who follows me is still active or if I'm annoying anyone by reviving this place after three years but this is my safe place to talk about Harry Potter/Hogwarts Legacy because understandably fuck JK Rowling(Genuinely I've told myself I outgrew the main series for years for a reason) but also

but like the people I work with are more normies and talk about Harry Potter normally and it's kind of a mindfuck after being on the internet it's been on my mind and I was having a rough period so I picked up Sorcer's Stone the full cast audiobook and I fucking missed this series. (I'm finishing up OOTP now). Also the full cast is SO GOOD. (There was a lot of days when the audiobook made me grin when I was down about a family member dying)

It's different as an adult. I pick up more. Some characters are like "God, he really is an asshole, I don't remember that." (There's a lot more assholes than I remember tbh) I knew the early books would be a bit more take as is but now that I'm at OOTP I have more substance to think about critically

I think I have more I want to get out so I might hang around here.

I finally have a video I feel comfy uploading! But months ago I had posted this about Ominis and Leander being friends because of them talking before DADA and Sebastian being quiet like putting up with Leander for Ominis' sake.

I have always recreated that moment but never with good dialogue. Often with crass teenage NPC dialogue that felt NPCish but I like this(Except for Leander saying it helps to look at what you're stirring in potions cause, well, Ominis can't but when they're coded as NPCs they're gonna NPC.) So here's videographic proof of Ominis and Leander being friends. (I am super happy I got Leander wanting to get the girl he likes a dangerous plant on tape)

Draco and Harry could NEVER.

Also for the first time ever I saw Leander walking with the boys around the DADA tower as I was entering for the first time??? They were just walking around the kind of perfect they were back on day one before everything happened and it was so...

Everytime I restart HogLeg I swear I'm going to take Natty with me to Hogsmeade and then Sebastian has me giggling after DADA and I'm like-nah

(Hi everyone! I got an Xbox 2 weeks ago and of course I had to buy a copy of HogLeg cause better performance. I'm not focusing on it but I needed something easy tonight because my mind couldn't handle thinking about a game and refreshing reddit after legal drama for a fandom I'm kinda in-wait why did Tony just tweet- exactly-

And it feels like falling back into my favorite book. I might go back to my normal games tomorrow but very cozy. But maybe I'll stick around idk. )

I finally made the OT3 in TS4! You can't tell, but I gave Sebastian his freckles(Oh my god he looks so handsome close up), and Ominis his moles on the right side of his face.

I definitely didn't want to go school uniform vibe, but I did kinda for Emily and for Sebastian I kinda feel like that vibe just fits him, he's kinda nerdy and I really like that shirt. With Ominis I really felt like he had that big oversized sweater vibe and I loved mixing the blues and the greens, combining the two others.

I really want to go back to my roots, give them a starter home, make Emily a painter and Sebastian a writer, and I guess Ominis a programmer(painter/writer are my roots for a couple) and go from there. I also want to TRY a mod that allows three person exclusive couples to allow an OT3 and if that works my plan is to do twins by having one be born normally then immediately have the instantaneously science baby with the other guy.

Cause all my Sims youtubers are dying with twin infants in Let's Plays and I want to see how bad it is but I need three parents. I'm not going to lie. I need three parents for twinfants. (Wait what if higher fertility gives me twins either way...)

Ominis is also a cat lover so we need to get a cat at some point too. It'll be fun. Speaking of fun has Nascar penalties been announced... No... sigh.

In Summoner's Court updates: So in my current save file I was like now knowing how easy the next two are I don't want to beat Leander because he riles me up in a way the Slytherin boys don't and there's no way I lose to him early on. I always lose to him until late game. So when he popped up it was like okay we're going to do the same dance we always do.

That prat lost to me Game 1. I was actually pissed. I LIKE having Leander at Summoner's Court.

Apparently practice makes permanent. My english teacher was right.

I did this on my iPad last night/this morning but favorite/least favorite classes of the main HL crew. The text next to their names state the electives. I wish I gave the top row some more space but oh well. Do any of you guys have opinions on this? Was fun character building.

Here are my longer thoughts/explanations.

For my MC, Emily, I kinda based it off my play style and also what I enjoyed but also what made sense. DADA made sense as a like. I enjoyed potions and I super enjoyed the Arithmacy puzzles so I kept that. For dislikes: I hated the astronomy tables, too fiddly. Also I never used to Transfiguration spell. And Divination, well, HP colored my view of the class and I never would've taken that class so I'm pretending I'm taking the 3 electives(Thus D+B+A)

Sebastian obviously loves DADA. Mr best duelist of our year. He also enjoys his Ancient Runes elective and History of Magic. I see him being super studious and not minding the book classes. I don't see him liking the more hands on classes like Potions and Beasts(Which I never would've picked as his elective but whatever, he was in a cut scene).

With Ominis, I've gotten the same line that Weasley is prepping him for Transfiguration NEWTs already at least twice. I think it may be NPC dialogue but I also haven't noticed it on anyone else so let's pretend it's canon. I feel like Charms go hand in hand with that so I was like what's another that Ominis would like... Charms??? Also I 100% headcanon that Aritmacy was common ground with him and Emily to bond without the rest of their friend group in the way. Especially when things got rough with Sebastian. That was their place to just be them without having to think about dark arts and relics and curses. But we know in game he doesn't like Herbology or Potions. I feel like Potions frustrates him because it's probably very sight based with are particular it is(As Sharp insists, one sneeze can ruin everything) and it's hard to adapt. But he and Sharp worked together a lot in the early years to find work arounds. Lots of after class sessions and trial and errors and ingredients already being cut. I could do a whole post about this.

With Natty, Charms is clearly her best subject and she's in Crossed Wands so DADA was a good educated guess. I also feel like Ancient Runes for some odd reason. I don't think she minds Divination for Divination but because her mum forces it on her and the embarrassment of her mum teaching it.

Obviously Poppy loves Beasts class and Herbology. I also think she would enjoy astronomy. She seems very hands on learner. She would find History of Magic so boring(And yes, I didn't let myself say everyone hated HoM). I also feel like she is morally opposed to also the transform *animal* into *object in Transfiguration and hates that class because of it and views it as inhumane.

My dad is on vacation and he just sent me a picture of some bootleg Golden Trio wax sculptures and I was mentally like "Harry, Ron, and Hermione!!! ... The HL trio is better(Ominis, Seb, and MC)"

Nothing in the Harry Potter world will ever beat this game for me. I honestly assumed that HP was a kids series for me and I was over it but guess not.

I changed my mind I'm not doing a Gryffindor save with Elizabeth Tarkin. I'm going to do a save where I pay extra attention to the relationships, the timeline, characters, the friendships, who is in what class, the order of events and take notes and figure out how game translates to writing.

I'm going to do Ravenclaw again cause my written mc and make her look similar to my Slytherin MC cause that's her look.

I love Garreth's intro as a Gryffindor so much more than his potions intro. It's just like Ominis' gentle common room intro vs his gruff Undercroft intro.

The Weasley might grow on me this time around.

Nobody said it would be easy/No one ever said it would be this hard/Oh take me back to the start

So with the companion mod Sebastian and I were exploring the grounds and I was like how does broom flight work and I flew over to what ended up being the road to Hogsmeade and at first I was like oh we can go down to the lake on a summer day(I've already done the end of term feast) and the Forbidden Forest finally and I can test combat and as I was leaving the forest I think it hit me.

Oh. We're at the beginning. Only we're not. We're gone through horrors. We've committed horrors. Ominis worries about us getting killed. And so we walked to Hogsmeade taking in the sights we once did-no longer two kids who had seen death. But two kids who had fucked up. But they'll end up okay because with Ominis, they want it to be okay.

For some reason that walk was the thing in game that made me realize how fucked up it really was. This sunlit thing that only existed because I modded it and flew randomly. Like 100% these situations are ending up in writing.

Added The Scientist to my Ominis/MC/Sebastian playlist which I haven't shared because it's so Taylor Swift heavy(I can't lie).

The entire photoshoot looked pretty epic but I liked how he was looking at her(Also I liked the no robes, blazer only look on him, the no robes look on Emily is something I only do in the RoR cause it's a tad more relaxed but yeah blazer is the way to go on Seb with the mod <3)

But no seriously about last night I’ve wanted to bring the main 4 friends into the Room of Requirement with me and just hang out and show them my little buddies and it’s so sad the game doesn't allow you to do that????

I was just so excited. I was like "Poppy! Let's go see Highwing!" and "Poppy, I have a phoenix!" and "Ominis, this is Deek, Deek, this is Ominis." (You know Deek knows all about our friends and their adventures though). I spawned Natty in and just ran circles around her with excited zoomies then wished I had the Sims 4 Take Photo With option in Hogwarts Legacy.

After Growing Together I really need to make them all in TS4.

I adore the Companion mod. I'm going to love doing a new save and doing early exploration with the crew. (Do I break lore or do I save exploring with Poppy for after Beasts class?)

This vivarium has mooncalves, puffskins, diricrawls, and nifflers, so small, furry, nothing that flies or is too big. I figured that it would be great to show Ominis since he's blind, things shouldn't be too surprising, no flying creatures or risk of giant creatures trampling(But also the risk of tripping over baby mooncalves and puffskins, even I tripped over my cat occasionally)(As long as the puffskins behave)

He's quite adorable between all the adorable creatures. And I have a sudden need to write Ominis x MC where MC gently introduces all the creatures to him and it's all very hands on and soft and fluffy and giggly. But also ending in rolling around in the grass and making out and smiling but everything stays fluffy. idk

I never would've had this idea before. I should try out my other friends. (But Ominis...)

Ominis' voice line is: Heard you and Sebastian traversed a mountain in Loyalist territory. You you, that sort of thing could have gotten you both killed.

Okay so I finally downloaded the Companion mod and this was the second line Ominis told me and it. is. perfect. His wry and witty worry and we could've gotten killed but he won't show us that he was fretting so wry it was.

I wasn't going to share this photo cause this one is ugly(but I needed line proof) but I'm taking so many now that I can get my friends in my RoR. I took Poppy to see Highwing second. First I loaded Sebastian in and just had him follow me and marvelled. I actually want to decorate the RoR so we can all hang out.

I love this already.
