Ocean Rescue || Jia & Woori
When Woori reassured her that she was fine, Jiaâs feeling of worry subsided a little and she started to smile warmly as Woori pulled her in a hug. Regardless of the fact that the gesture itself was not something she was comfortable with, she knew very well what the meaning of it was and she was glad that Woori was on such terms with her that she would show her happiness over seeing her again through a hug. Smiling still as she moved out of the otherâs grip a little again, she nodded her head. âI know. I kind of ran out on work, though, so you can tell them that it was an emergency right?â she stated with a loose grin, shrugging her shoulders lightly before looking down at the guy she just floored. âAt the same time perhaps call up headquarters to get this guy back to his rightful place and have him put on two months hard training duty, it will make him regret ever being like this to you without the need for you to have him put to Superior judgement. Itâs kind of harsh, no offence.â
Looking back up at Woori after those words, she started to smile a bit wider again. âItâs really good to see you, though, girl!â she then stated with a lot more happiness in her voice than sheâd shown so far, because she finally let herself out of the working mood and into the catching up with friends-mood. âItâs been ages or something! How have you been? And why on earth are you all the way out here? Are you enjoying a holiday without inviting me along?â Narrowing her eyes in a suspicious manner at the last sentence, she lifted a hand to point a blaming finger in the younger womanâs direction. That of course didnât last too long before she lowered it again and was grinning once more. âAh, Woori-ah, didnât I tell you to call more often? I like what youâve done with your hair, by the way! Truly marvellous! So much shorter but very nice. And a change of colour too, very brave indeed!â Grinning in amusement, Jia threw an arm over Wooriâs shoulder as she calmly led the younger woman a bit away from the unconscious man, a little further down the shore. âYou must tell me all about what youâve been doing!â
Woori noticed the way Jia reacted to the hug and instantly let go, placing her hands at her sides, making a mental note not to do that again. "Yeah sure..emergency." She repeated and looked down at the male who was passed out. She honestly had no plans of even telling on him and felt offended even if Jia said no offense. A tinge of anger flared in her, mostly because she thought Jia knew her better than that. Her mood suddenly dropped, and she kicked some sand under her feet some. She chose to ignore the comment instead and look at the ocean, crossing her arms over her chest casually. "Sure." She spoke finally.Â
She supposed that it was normal for things like this to happen. Nobody was perfect, she knew. There would always be that boundary between castes, like it was meant to be in the first place. She felt sort of lumped together with the more harsh superiors, and it didn't feel right. She'd never hurt someone or have someone be put to death for something as trivial as this. She mustered up a smile despite what she was feeling and listened to Jia speaking, keeping usually quite for the time being. "I like the ocean. I don'--I just like to watch the waves roll in and out." She smiled at the thought, and when her hair was mentioned reached up to touch it, measuring the length with her hand, forgetting just how short it is.
"Thank you, Jia." She smiled a bit easier this time and followed Jia when she was pulled away, leaving most of her thoughts behind her. "I guess I was just busy with hotel stuff, that I haven't really kept in contact with many I guess. I'll try harder." She glanced up at the sky and took hold of the metal bar that lead to the boardwalk, walking up the stairs. "I've not really been doing much. I bought a car. Learned to drive. I managed to get a car like a guardian, because the superior cars just don't fit my tastes."Â
