This is a post S2 E17 au, after all the contestants got deleted and unplugged.

In a desperate attempt to bring what was lost back.. Mephone4 quickly recreates the contestants.

But they aren't the same

This is an Ask Blog with a story connected to it!

You still are allowed to ask me anything you'd like to know about the au and its characters, though! Or you could ask the characters themselves!!

Your actions could determine how things happen in the overall timeline of the Reboots! May it be speeding something up or anything else!

The audience (you) are a key feature here !

The au overall is still in development as I'm running this blog! So some things may be changed as it progresses (such as characters designs)

Other than answering asks, I'll also post character refs, concepts, and doodles for my au here.

Note: I'm not a fan of people taking my idea of Reboots. (The originals dying and Mephone4 creating new characters as 1:1 replacements)

You can make your own II au, just please don't use my concept as your own. (I can get easily demotivated to progress Reboots if so)

🦋 - For this, its just a massive headache mainly.

But it's getting better

🧪- Looks at the design and engineering, she realizes she had done similar work on Fanbot, just.. different, less refined.

… Before she can hesitate, she begins carefully working. Meticulously trying to repair the damage to the best of her ability. As time passed, her worries and reservations calmed into something calm and serine. Giving way for a small bit of dejavú, a sense of memory just out of reach, but something she knew she looked back to fondly.

A product of love and care that she never regretted making, only the way she handled and went about the process.

A person, that she never knew she can love so much.

Or miss.

She suddenly backs away, the repair progress being suddenly halted.

You could’ve just drove her away just now?

If she’s this vulnerable and clearly unwell, you being this harsh and demanding can lead her to running away from YOU. Or making her mental state 10x worse and destructive

I agree. But unless she chooses to willingly open her heart, then she won't- not entirely. But I digress... I'll fall quiet for now. If you need any sort of assistance, be it medical or needing a specific sort of thing, let us know and we'll try to assist. Please. Stay safe, Paintbrush.

Paintbrush's bristles were all over the place, their wavy hair ruined !! They were still icy too.

She's been holding onto these feelings for moons Paintbrush, from the beginning stretching onwards until the here and now. Likely a bit longer as well. Try as we might plead and ask and to reach out, both Asker and Lightseeker alike, the walls around her heart won't fall so easily through efforts made until she herself allows herself to. Especially by us. I'd be surprised if she did, really... Maybe if the other Lightseekers try to reach out again later, but finding the right opportunity has been difficult at best and near impossible at worst lately. Maybe it's fear of having her heart willingly vulnerable, perhaps its fear of our gazes for the worry of us making things worse or something more. I'm still not entirely sure.

It would be healthier if they were down, but I fear it's a lesson that Lightbulb will have to learn to face by herself. You can't stop someone from making a choice willingly made. The warnings have been said, hands have been extended only to be pushed away. She's too afraid and truthfully, understandably so. She has her reasons and we're not exactly the most trustworthy presence in the world. Until that time arrives where she finally opens that door, unfortunately, all we can do is try to be near her side when we can and try to be patient. Which is... difficult, but I suspect it won't go any other way. Eventually she will though, I think. Eventually.

Until then, all we can do is wait.

Being patient isnt what she needs in this kind of scenario.

I'll try being patient, but us being patient will just let her close her walls even thicker.

Maybe I shouldn't of confronted her, but I'm so tired of seeing her hurt and not being able to do anything.

In the meanwhile before Lightbulb caught up as they looked around, a murmur quiet and tired rang out.

We've added one for Lightbulb, too. Again. We always seem to have the worst choice in timing, don't we?

At least Lightbulb opened up some to me.

...I just wish she wasnt so stubborn.
