tbh i do think that the concept of other people being viewed as "NPCs" and the growing inability to recognize other human beings as living things with thoughts and motivations is linked to the capitalistic need to scrub everything of what makes it challenging and alive, to turn everything into a consumable, to baby proof the entirety of the world and make it into the largest, coldest nest of individualist comforts where you never need to feel bad but you'll never feel warmth either

In Korea, woodlouse is called Rat’s daughter-in-law. this name was given because they were unable to move in front of mice, just like the daughter-in-law in front of their mother-in-law.What the mouse says “Soup is salty(국이 짜다)” This has the implied meaning of doing it again because the soup made by woodlouse is not to the taste of mice. It’s kind of a typical mother-in-law meme in Korea.

Reblogging again because i had a moment to think about how brilliant this line is because even if it's accidental it's brilliant foreshadowing and set up for mother 3 as that's basically the central theme of the game, like if you remove this line you'd a really cool little connection and i just wanna appreciate how important these themes actually are to this series.

this needs to be reblogged because people keep asking me for money. I have no job, I am disabled, I have a disease, and I need to pay for things to keep my own life afloat. Those doctor bills stack up. I wish I still had my job, but here I am, jobless, and no job in the foreseeable future, cause I am disabled and dickbag Trash dropped the dei, so I am fucked.
Helping people is important but there's so many scams and even still the problems are across the board we need to come together but asking for money blanketly isn't helping.
