O'Keeffe dramatically bisected this composition with a narrow ray of light pigment that sweeps from the bottom to the top of the canvas. Undulating passages on either side transition from deep blue to shades of marine to soft pink, creating movement and evoking flowers, vegetal forms, and even music.
