i’m chronically ill (and more recently a mother to a gorgeous little baby) so pls forgive me if i don’t always have the energy to reply right away. sometimes my condition fluctuates and i need to prioritise resting.

if you make low-brow/casual jokes about PTSD/flashbacks then I will hard block on sight for my own comfort. As a survivor this is a hard no for me and I find it a bit distasteful. there are just better ways to joke about inconveniences without doing so at the expense of people who have suffered immensely.

i try to give back the same time/energy given to me where i can, so i will usually try to match your reply length.

oh and i ALSO finally got my NHS endo specialist appointment after like... almost two years of waiting.

if i could PLEASE not be gaslit and traumatised this time around and actually get the surgery i need that would be GREAT bc my pelvic nerves are. on fire. raging. not happy. :)

i have never had the urge to literally wash the walls at least not since i was pregnant and in nesting mode but today i washed every wall in every fucking room except for two which i will hit tomorrow

big update:

i have a house! a new house with good heating and a back yard for my boy. and zero flooring and furnishings lmfao it's so eyewateringly expensive to start my life all over again.

i am moving things into said house! (albeit painfully slowly bc my dad has been sick and i rely on his help lol)

i hope to return to geeking out w u guys shortly.

it is also my son's first birthday today HOW IS HE ONE ALREADY HOW DO I HAVE A TODDLER NOW 😭😭😭😭😭 the newborn trenches are fully over friends...

sorry i've been quiet after promising to write. my mum is in the hospital after a bad migraine attack.

she got lost on the way home, didn't know what she was doing or where she was going (on a route she does all the time), crashed her car into something and wrecked it driving with the handbrake on, ran red lights in front of the police and then got worse overnight after getting home. threw up all over and had out of control pain and confusion so her husband called an ambulance.

she deteriorated in the hospital and was completely not herself, tore out her cannula and got blood everywhere, resisted everyone trying to wander around and out of the ward, nearly tore her earrings out of her ears and was hallucinating and unable to recognise her own belongings.

turns out her brain had a swelling as part of a stroke disorder we have in the family. she's improved a lot today and is more like the mum i know, but man i'm scared because i don't know what the future looks like for her. :(

I awaken at 4am to force my sleepy baby to eat something

( seriously child u are a dream!!! letting mom rest!!!

i was up until 5am yesterday moving his stuff into the bigger bedroom bc it's easier to decorate & make into a playroom and lemme tell u my back is STILL screaming from dismantling, lifting and rebuilding our stupidly heavy pine furniture so like getting good rest is amazing )

but also i awaken to wish master deeluke a happy birthday 🥺🥺🥺🥺💖💖💖💖 the goal is to write something today

the endo is back to kill me just after a month postpartum and i discovered the specialist referral i fought WAY OVER A YEAR for got rejected back in september (and nobody thought to tell me) because i was pregnant back then and thus apparently i had "no indication" for their help????

even though i had to pay 5k privately to be able to diagnose the endo and achieve said pregnancy after years of infertility and medical gaslighting

even though i still had symptoms the entire pregnancy

even though my mobility actively got worse in the meanwhile and i got moved onto crutches by an NHS physiotherapist

even though i have an OT coming to my house to install further aids around my home to help me function on a basic and safe level

even though my MRI clearly shows i have deep disease all over my bowel and bladder and i need to be on a long ass waitlist for more surgery

even though my private surgeon has written letters describing the surgery i need to fix my pelvic nerves and save my fucking kidneys

newsflash: pregnancy is NOT a cure for endo

i now have to start from the fucking beginning with my GP all over again and i'm despairing at the thought of re-explaining and justifying my symptoms to a new doctor bc i just moved into the area and have never met him, wooooo 👍

being a mother is such sweet suffering

it's laying on a towel at 4:30am bc you were feeding ur baby and trying to keep them from throwing up by keeping them upright on ur lap for a little while but also trying to take care of yourself by eating cereal bc u gotta eat!! self care!!

but then ur baby decides to add a little spice to the situation by THROWING his head sideways and threatening to fall a completely harmless drop onto a mattress but ur monkey brain screams DANGER and makes u throw ur cereal onto the floor to catch him and now there's milk and squishy coco pops all over ur bed, carpet, side table, and pyjama pants.
