Ocean, I
I follow the path that leads me to the beach,
the sand is fluffy and warm under my feet.
I’m looking at the waves, coming and going with the constant tide.
I slowly close my eyes and let myself be lulled by the sound of the sea.
I can hear my heart beating in time with the wind coming from the billows.
I am alone, but not lonely.
I have lived a thousand lives to reach this one,
and I still feel like I’m not fully myself yet.
This tireless and inevitable battle to feel like I belong to this world requires a lot of strength. Right now, right here, I can almost feel the water pulling me in, calling me.
What if I allow it? If I meet this force and let the currents lull me and this calm wash over me until I feel peaceful and protected like a child in a mother's arms?
I let myself get lost in this thought for a minute, while I feel the world getting quiet.
I open my eyes, the sounds around return little by little
I face the sunset in shades of orange, purple, and pink,
and once again,
I see.
I just write this after watch the intro of Dua Lipa’s show on youtube.
