Well, this election is over and I'm not really surprise ... more disappointed and disgusted. However, I'm not going to riot at the capital and say the election was stolen. I do hope that the economy and immigration are fixed. I don't think rolling back climate initiatives is going to do anybody a favor in the long run. Forced births are not the way. If you want to stop abortion then teach adequate sex education to middle school and high schoolers. Fund Planned Parenthood that provides birth control. You want to gut Obamacare but you have nothing better lined up. I want housing prices to be more affordable with that plan that you don't have. I want school shooting and shootings in public places not to be a thing. As a Christian I want things to go well for everyone. I was lucky enough to grow up in a church were I was basically taught that Jesus said love your neighbor. I try to do that. However, with that said if you find yourself more fucked in 4 years than you are now, well you only have yourself to blame.

Wake me up when this election is over. I’ll probably go on a rant in the next few days depending on how this election goes. If it goes one way we can all be sure that Covid will be with us much longer and I probably won’t be going to Disneyland anytime soon.

See Booksmart

Before I take a break from social media (and entertainment in general) in order to focus on getting into grad school, I would like to take a moment to highlight a movie I had the opportunity to see early. Booksmarts. The is directed by Olivia Wilde and stars Beanie Feldstein and Kaitlyn Dever. I’m sure you’ve seen the trailers and thought this looks like a female version of Superbad. It kind of is but it’s so much funnier and has so much heart. I was smiling and laughing throughout the whole film and genuinely didn’t want it to end. It’s a great coming of age story about that transition from high school to college. As anyone who has experienced that transition can tell you, things really do change even though you don’t want them to. The female friendship in this film is spectacular and the chemistry between the leads is palpable. The movie also features a diverse range of characters without trying to be diverse. There is more I want to write about the film but I don’t want to go into spoiler territory and I’m sleepy. Anyways, this movie is a prime example of why different stories need to be told. Support female directors and writers. Support film by actually going to the movie theaters.

According to the Oxford dictionary, a globalist is a person who advocates the interpretation or planning of economic and foreign policy in relation to events and developments throughout the world.

Which is not this 

“A globalist is a person that wants the globe to do well, frankly not caring about the country so much. You know, we can't have that”

This is the definition that Donald Trump gave of a globalist. First of all wouldn’t you want the world to do well that way you don’t have caravans of people fleeing Guatemala to come to this country? 

Donald Trump says he identifies as a nationalist. 

The Oxford dictionary definition of a nationist a person who strongly identifies with their own nation and vigorously supports its interests, especially to the exclusion or detriment of the interests of other nations.

I have no problem with people who strongly identify with their own nation but if you are doing it at the detriment of other nations then you really should go fuck yourself. 

It is important to figure facts out for yourself and not just believe all the bullshit you hear come out of this presidents mouth or on the news. Do freaking research. Vote for the politician that aligns with your values. Not somebody that Taylor Swift or Kanye West told you to vote for. Not all Democrats or Republicans are evil.
