“I hope so, but we need to be prepared to find something else. Maybe a different building or no building at all. As long as it’s not a decomposing body, we’re fine.”

“Haha, he’s funny.” Podrick’s voice faked seriousness, but they laughed. Humour often helped them to keep the stress at bay.

“I think we’re ready,” Gendry announced, finishing the last round of diagnostics. “Let’s try configuration A first, just to take a peek and see if it’s working well.” Gendry was trying to repress the anxiety he was feeling, but Podrick could see it, probably because he was feeling the same way.

i just love all the stories about production on project hail mary. they didn't use a single green/blue screen in the whole film. they built the whole interior of the hail mary. the petrova line scene was done practically by putting infrared lights on a chicken wire cage. rocky's voice was one of the puppeteers because he did such a good job during filming that they couldn't imagine anyone else voicing him. and rocky was a practical puppet/animatronic! sandra huller picked sign of the times as her karaoke song and she asked her daughter if it was still a cool song. i just feel like there was so much love making this film and im obsessed

“No!” Gendry yelled. He hit Broadcloak repeatedly with all the strength still left in him until Podrick had to raise his voice to call his attention.

“Gendry! Gendry!!!”

Gendry finally looked at Podrick with a red face and bloody knuckles. Podrick was pointing Margaret’s gun at Flagg, who was sitting on the floor.

“An energy surge that big on a residential area will draw attention. We have to go, now.”

Gendry took a second to process what Podrick just said. He was right, they had to move. Gendry stood up with precaution, but Broadcloak didn’t make any attempt to move.
