I feel like none of us ever talk about when it comes to Luke's Quest is the fact that it can't be done. In the actual mythology Hercules himself doesn't retrieve the apples he has Atlas do it because he knows he wouldn't be able to fight the dragon and then in the Riordanverse Hercules has Zoë to help him. Their is no way a 16 year old son of Hermes could have successfully completed that quest he was doomed to fail from the start.
