LIMAHL, OCTOBER 1984.
SIMON LE BON & JOHN TAYLOR, JULY 1982.
MARTIN, manager for WADI VISION, C. 1982–1983? So, how did you get involved with this lot? "I saw them on telly, uh, about a year ago, and I was so impressed, I approached them directly and said that I wanted to manage them." What do you think a day in the life of a manager is? "A nightmare. [laughs] No, you-- you've really got to be on the ball. You've got to look at every single opening there possibly is that you can further your band. You've got to be there, all the time. Really, the music business is rather like a jungle and you've just got to hack your way through it. And the manager is-- acts as a buffer between the cruel, real world and what's going on musically." What do you hope to get for them? "A record deal." So when is this all hopefully going to happen? "Right now. It's happening right now."

MIKE CROSSLEY of WADI VISION, C. 1982–1983? Mike, there's a lot of you in the band. Who makes the final decision in the studio? "Um, well, we both-- we all play individual instruments, so we like to do what we like to do in that part of it. But obviously at the finished product, we have to, uh, come to an agreement of some sort, because if everyone's doing their own thing to a big extent, then it'd just turn into a mess." That's right. Because you and Dave write the songs, don't you? "Yeah." So I suppose you have the final decision. "Yeah. Well, I mean, when it comes down to the mix."
DAVE CROSSLEY of WADI VISION, C. 1982–1983? "Well, we've been together for about-- about two years. We started off as Still Life, when we first started, and, uh, we all met together in a pub. We knew each other anyway, and we just decided to get a band together. The name Wadi Vision came up about a year after that; about a year and a half ago."
