Amin na ang dyaryo.
“Ano ba ang halaga ng isang bayani? Ano ba ang nasa likod ng kadakilaan? Bakit pirmi tayong nakatingala? Sumasamba nang walang pagdududa? Bakit lagi tayong bulag na umaasa sa mga tagapagligtas?” — Joven Hernando

Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral is now on Netflix!
The sequel to Heneral Luna, Jerrold Tarog’s movie focuses on the consequences of losing a great general, and the famous “Boy General,” Gregorio del Pilar.
It’s about Gregorio del Pilar, the “Batang Heneral”/“Boy General” of The Philippines, a known playboy amongst women in the time, and President Emilio Aguinaldo’s favorite. This movie tackles topics like idolatry (discussed in the short, Angelito, that connects the two films), distractions, and more.
As The Philippines begin to lose the war, we find out about certain people that may or may not be mentioned in our previous history books.
note:
The film is in tagalog/filipino but don’t worry, for it has subtitles, so you could understand it better.
non-filipino blogs can reblog.
the themes are universal.
unfortunately, the film isn’t available in other countries yet (yes, even in netflix.)
Heneral Luna: *places two pieces of bread on either side of Janolino's cheeks*
Heneral Luna: WHAT ARE YOU?
Janolino: An idiot sandwich
Goyo: May tatlo kaming dahilan.
Julian: Piliin mo paborito mo.
Julian:
Vicente:

Vicente:
Vicente, pabulong: Bayag
Julian, tumatawa: pUTANGINA!
Lt. Garcia, about the Americans: the indigenous species of wild Americans can be real agressive so it's important to take all necessary precautions when approaching them.
Lt. Garcia: *shoots an american soldier* GET FUCKED!!!
Paco: Kinain mo ba lahat ng donuts?
Rusca: Hindi.
Rusca: Cocaine yan.
Joven: Is anything better than pussy? Yes, a really good book.

Kumusta! Mod Goyo here!
I'm going to change the name of this blog to "incorrect-bcu-quotes" because of the following reasons:
Some of the quotes posted revolved around Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral thus, the post is not connected to the "Heneral Luna" theme in the now previous name of the blog.
I (Mod Goyo, the only current moderator here in this blog, lmao) will probably post more incorrect quotes about other heroes or people included in the films that Jerrold Tarog (the director of Heneral Luna and Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral) will make.
The posts here sometimes will have a theme, especially when a national holiday comes near or it is the day for a national holiday (ex: Rizal Day.)
Some of the reblogs here will be showcasing other historical facts or other works relating to PH history.
Lastly, there might be incorrect quotes about works of the heroes that are mentioned here.
That is all to be said!
Joven: May nagawa akong masama.
Goyo: I don't dress to impress. I dress to depress. I wanna look so good people hate themselves.
