Having seen an assortment of episodes of Horatio Hornblower out of order, all this time I assumed the scars on Stiles' face were from acne. A common enough thing. But no. No. It's from the rats, isn't it. The rats from the rat game. 😫

Hardly anything is mention about Bush’s home life but what C.S. Forester dose metion is that Bush has four sisters and a mother that he takes care off and in turn they dote on him. I like to image there all older.

So this is a picture of Bush at the age of 15 readying for his first day of navy life as a midshipman.  Wearing his uniform for the first time and showing it off to his family his sisters quickly get to work to smooth out the finer details.
