‘Another Day Wiser’ (4,285 words)
A: This is epic and an epic of the fandom. What a fantastic fulfilment of an excellent prompt which will hook you in right from the very beginning. The writing oozes with poignancy and immense skill. I adore how this story so eloquently articulates how the professional and the personal come together; it’s both refreshing and heartbreaking.
DA: This is sensational. I was cheering when I saw this prompt come through and doubly so when this author took the reins on it. I cringed and groaned and felt so so bad for both Jos and Craig all the way through which they don’t even deserve because they’re IDIOTS but there you go. When you just wanna indulge in some flawlessly-written no-happy-ending pain, this is your dish.

‘So, Christmas?’ (2,669 words)
A: Well, this fic is positively charming and I love it. I was most definitely smiling throughout. The Woakes family are absolutely fabulous. You’ll adore this delightful fic, I promise you.
DA: What kind of tosser doesn’t appreciate how blessed we’ve been to get multiple fics of the same prompt? Chris and Jos fake-dating is my new favourite highly specific trope (as is Pitch mafia but not the THEY ALWAYS DIE bit). I giggled so many times throughout this. “I love your family!” “You’ve never met them!” “Technicalities!” LOLOL.

A: Oh, this is such a treat. It’s so clever how cricket is inserted into this wonderful AU, it’s just the sort of work that we all ought to adore. It’s a pleasure to drive into this charming world of boyfriends, bating and bowling.
DA: Drunk Joe Root batting with a whiskey bottle reallllly shouldn’t bring me as much pleasure as it did here. (“I’m Australian”, she whines) This is a super duper cute Chris/Joe Uni AU with lots of cricket (yay!!!) and lots of giggles (lost at almost everything Joe did because the characterisation is SPOT. ON.) and it is fluffy as a cloud, you guys! Take two tablespoons before you go to bed for sweet dreams.

‘One night in Bradford’ (1,935 words)
A: Ah, this is delightful and thoughtful all rolled into one and I love it. It masters the difficult art of being both fluffy and silly as well as authentic. You won’t be disappointed and you’ll be grinning from ear to ear at this charming fic.
DA: Best inclusion of RL family member. Laughed at and loved everything in this fic. It’s, as Abbey put it, authentic fluff. I have now read eighteen million Chris Woakes fics for this exchange and cannot believe it took this long for someone to pinch those blushy cheeks. So pleased it was a very drunk very ginger Jonny doing so. We as readers have scored big time with this one.
