Found a haji helmet.
still kinda sad that people place generation kill as the least favorite of the three hbo war shows because there’s tons of amazing wwii stuff out there and i get why people find these stories emotional and i myself appreciate them but there’s not a lot of content about the wars in the middle east that doesn’t paint americans as unquestionable heroes and liberators and generation kill manages to be pretty realistic about who and what some of these men were

“Great Marine commanders, like all great warriors, are able to kill that which they love most - their men. It’s a fundamental law of warfare. Twice I had cheated it. I couldn’t tempt fate again.” - Nathaniel Fick, One Bullet Away
