HER EARRINGS ARE ANKHS !!!
IF i’m remembering my ancient egyptian history class correctly, ankh’s are known as the “key of life”, due to ancient egyptians placing an ankh on a deceased person’s lips to help open the door to the afterlife, as it’s also believed that the ankh may represent the union between heaven and earth. and, in artwork it represents a wish for a long life. i believe it’s also thought that it represents the unity between male and female.
the ankh symbol represents quite a few things, and i honestly think it’s quite interesting that sylvia’s earrings are ankh’s! (please take this all with a grain of salt though, i could very well be wrong as my ancient egypt class was awhile ago…)
