MacLaren: So, even though the fire department was located only 2.5 miles away from the home, the firefighters bizarrely didn’t reach the house until 8am, roughly seven hours after the fire began. By the time they arrived, the house was literally ash.
Carly: Time to re-evaluate your staff there.
Trevor: You can really see where your tax money’s going there.
Marcy: That’s not like, “oh, we really dropped the ball there!” More like, firefighters from Florida could’ve driven up in time.
Philip: In their defense, it was Christmas Eve.
Trevor: Yeah, it’s fine if people die on Christmas Eve.
Philip: I’m not saying I’m condoning them for being 7 hours late to a fire that was 2.5 miles away!
MacLaren: That’s just not great.
Marcy: In fact, I’m pretty sure I could run that in about an hour, at least.
Carly: I could spit a fire out in that time.
Philip: I could probably chug a beer and then run that.
Carly: I could just spit on the fire...
Marcy: Hey, what’s your blood type?
Philip: How would I know?
Marcy: How would you not?

MacLaren: I didn’t say that. When have I ever said that?

Marcy: This morning at breakfast.
Trevor: Yesterday, when he beat you at cards.
Marcy: I’m kinda seeing someone, but I’m worried about telling you who it is, because you’re not going to like it.
MacLaren: Just rip the bandage off, Marcy.
Marcy: It’s David.
MacLaren: Put the bandage back on.
Jenny: It would be nice to change the world, you know?

Philip: Answer me
Marcy: Ugh, crushes are dumb.

Marcy: Carly, how do I——
Carly: I’m already packed and ready to go.

Carly: Gets ‘em every time.
Philip: Did you really have to stab him?
Carly: You weren’t there. You didn’t hear what he said to me.

Marcy: Okay, that’s fair.

David: MacLaren and Marcy are right inside. One girlish shriek from me and they go into combat mode.
Okay, I’m two years late, and the fandom may not exist, but I must give a freaking slow clap to Netflix Travelers. I really hate that this show did not get the love it should. I just found it two years after it went off, but man, I would have given it the love if I had known. OMG! This show is freaking good; actually, I kept saying during the episodes.
The pace of the story is done so well. The characters, plot, and chemistry with the main five!
Five things I loved, spoilers ahead
S2E5, which was aired in 2017. We are in 2020, and a show predicts the COVID virus in 2017?!
The Team- Only a few shows can write an ensemble team, and the Travelers is the lead in this.
001/Villain- Write a villain character; don’t give them a redemption arc and let me enjoy. Yes.
Dave and Grace- These two characters bring a different type of humor to the story. Protect them at all costs.
The ending: Genius
