[ Hey so I’ve been really down in the dumps recently and part of me believes that I’m hitting a certain stage in recovery that is pushing me into this mood. Plus there are some other things that are really twisting my general feelings about being on here (as  if thats not unusual.) So while I’m trying to pull myself together, I just wanted to mention that I won’t be answering things for a while. At least until I feel better and less upset about specific things. 

Until then, and just to keep this blog active, I’d like to write drabbles, maybe post a fanfic I had worked on several years ago on here. If by any chance you would like me to write a drabble, I’ll be reblogging drabble related things so you’re more than welcome to throw those in my inbox.

If not, then please feel free to like this post and perhaps DM/PM/IM me a subject. If you don’t really care what the subject is then totally just like this post and I’ll throw down.

I’m not turning this blog into a fanfiction or drabble blog, I just need space from RPing on here for a little bit. Which I know sounds odd, but it’s something I feel will help me without stressing myself about replying to everything and such.

That doesn’t go without saying, anyone who is doing PRIVATE RP’s with me on discord, I will still continue doing. If you want to thread with me in PRIVATE on DISCORD then DM/PM me and we’ll discuss things. 

TL;DR I’m pausing on threads and going to turn to drabbles and fanfiction until May 20th (right after graduation yay im getting my degree). This will not be permanent. Private threads will continue on as normal. If you want to do a private thread with me then DM/PM me.

****EDIT: I realize saying “Like this post” isn’t a good way of keeping track of who wants a drabble or not. So COMMENT or REPLY back to this post and I’ll make a drabble for you.

If by any chance we have never interacted before and you are wanting to interact with me then I am more than welcome to still talk about stuff!!! Like I said I’m not swaying away from RPing, I’m just removing myself RPing stuff from tumblr temporarily and going to private.

What I say: I’m a shipping machine

What I mean: I am always open to the possibility of ships happening and developing while two characters are fleshing out their relationship, but I do not immediately ship things because dynamics can change as muses interact. However, if someone were to IM me about a ship, I would 100% be on board to discuss the possibilities of it happening, how that would come about, and what other fun we could have- including angst.

“Why is that? I had been warned to be careful, but the reasoning was vague. Is it just the wildlife?”

That’s what he assumed, at least. He’s going to count himself lucky that he didn’t come to any harm while mindlessly wandering here. Perhaps he should have chosen a different path, but this one seemed the most interesting.

Kare took a moment to inspect the inside once he was there– Regardless of the layout, it beat sleeping in a tent, even if the space was shared with the animals. He was never picky when it came to such things; still counting himself fortunate for the others’ help.

“Oh, you’re not?” They did say their friend was out before. He was tempted to ask more about their situation, but withheld in a desire not to push on too many questions. 

His curiosity had indeed been tugged here

A nod. “I see. Just those two.” That’s good news to him; animals often reacted badly towards him due to both his weapon and slight traces of inhumanity. There was no need to cause any issues here.

Still, he had yet to meet said ox. 

“Hopefully she’ll show up soon,” Kare assured.

Keeping his mouth closed, Kare happily took himself to the spot motioned, settling himself on the on the pillows before he continued. “You’re right, I had forgotten about that what with everything else,” he chuckled, giving the back of his head a slight rub.

“I’m Kare, it’s a pleasure to meet you, Ihcairam”

Wildlife was such a short term for what was out in this part of the world’s forests. Every acre was covered by a heavy amount of odd animals, most were certainly deadly to anyone that doesn’t know how to deal with unnatural creatures. Though, he seemed like he could hold his own, Ihcairam didn’t want to release someone who was tired and have them killed. That was the blood they didn’t want on their hands.

The shorter native cleared their throat, “Have you been in these parts before? Do you have a map with you?”

As they made the food, more questions came up from Kare. What an odd name. None the less they smiled at them, “We do personal business outside the area.” More or less.

Once the food was made, they pour some in a ceramic bowl and brought it over to Kare, “You’re welcome to call me Ram as well.” Hen was their real name, but it certainly wasn’t a name people remembered for some reason.

“So why are you out here exactly? No one ever comes out here unless there is business,” Granted, he had said earlier that he had been spacing out, but if he had been following the trail then most likely he would have wound up in that area.

At least, that’s what they thought. Though, they could very well be wrong.

He wasn’t trying to gain sympathy– Kare often felt guilty when others had to help him due to the state gained while pushing himself too far, in fact. And he wasn’t expecting it, instead, the assassin was about to turn and try and press onward anyway… That was until they waved towards him.

“Oh…”

How kind of them, he thought, granting them a slow nod. It would indeed be unwise to go walking back into them in is state if they were riddled with danger, but until now, that seemed like the only choice.

“Y-You’re right, but–” A pause. “Thank you. I… promise I won’t stay any longer than needed.”

At the nod, Kare began to follow, only stopping a moment to check his footing when the continued words caught his attention. 

– Thankfully he hadn’t stepped in that, yet.

“Do you have a lot of animals, then?” he asked, thinking back on the chicken, and now the newly mentioned ox.

“It’s fine. Like I said before, it’s rather dangerous to be walking out here when you’re exhausted,” They stepped into their home after flashing a small smile at him.

As soon as they entered, they immediately waddled over to the small kitchen-ish space. The whole room was really just a mixture of a sleeping, lounge and kitchen space-- with of course a side of random assorts of junk and clothes around the place. They did try to clean up a little, but really that just ended with them making a whole new pile of stuff in a corner.

“Excuse the mess, we aren’t usually here most of the time,” They shrugged lightly while stirring a pot. When the question rose about their animals, they smiled once more, “Just a chicken and ox.”

An ox and chicken that seemed to run around not just outside, but inside as well. Though, Ihcairam was curious about their ox as she really hadn’t shown her face around, “Mm, she’s around here somewhere.”

After stirring a few times, they turned their attention back to the strange and motioned to a spot of pillows and blankets on the ground, “Please, make yourself comfortable. I don’t believe I got your name,” they rose a brow, “I’m Ihcairam.”

Granted, Kare doesn’t know all that much about them to comment much on her well being, so he feels that’s all he can say on the matter about how much the hen seemed to be eating.

His expression dropped, emerald hues widening in his surprise at the others’ comment before he let out a slight nervous laugh.

“Uh, awhile…”

The assassin isn’t even certain how long he had been walking until this point, especially due to his space out– It was really that far away? He had grown so used to walking long distances without a break.

No wonder he was so exhausted. He’s lucky he simply fell into a daze instead of passing out. It wouldn’t be the first time he has done such in front of a stranger.

“… I think I’ve got myself in a little trouble again,” he sighed. So much for keeping on track. One thing he’s sure about; he doesn’t have fifty miles of more travel in him yet.

This certainly wasn’t surprising to them, but they did feel a little bad for the man. He looked exhausted, maybe even dehydrated and hungry. Usually, this would be the part where Ram would leave the person and never blink an eye at them again. Instead, they turned away, but waved for him to follow.

“Walking in these woods is dangerous, especially if you’re tired already,” The glanced back at him, “My friend is away so you're more than welcome to rest here until you’re ready to depart.”

With a slight nod, they motioned for him to follow, “I only suggest you watch where you step. I have an ox around here who likes to leave messes.”

“Really?” he asked, features turning a red shade.

“No– No I mean it. I didn’t even notice you there either.”

Come to think of it, he had moved on from where he last remembered. And the other seemingly came out of nowhere. Where was he, even?

Was he that out of it?

His internal distress was soon interrupted when he noticed the lack of chickens despite what the stranger had said. Waiting a moment, one then finally came into view, causing the assassin’s features to adjust to a light smile.

“That’s one hungry chicken,” he chuckled.

Ah, right, after trailing off his path he is indeed now lost as the other suspected. “If it’s not too much trouble, I was heading towards the nearby town until… I ended up here instead.”

They were just about to retort until the comment of their chicken being the most hungry hen. Ram blinked a few times before shrugging lightly, “She is always hungry. I’ve tried putting her on a diet, but it didn’t really help her much.”

Chickens tended to eat whatever they wanted anyways. Well at least theirs did. Maybe they should really watch what she eats-- oops. Glancing around, Ram pushed some of their hair away from their face to get a good look around, “Town? The nearest town is almost fifty miles from here. How long have you been travelling?”

He did look tired, or maybe he was just concerned about his being. Either way, Ram was sure that he took a wrong turn since the trail usually disappeared after a while.

“Then I have been mistaken. Your demeanor spoke otherwise, but I can see you’re just as ruthless as the rest of them,” Oisa perked up slightly, “How interesting to see such aggression from such a young man. You must have gone through quite a lot to be like this.”

Though her smile was smug, she did mean well. It was interesting watching others try to keep up a hard facade-- though she wouldn’t really call what Kurapika was holding a facade. It was thick and aggressive anger. Repressed for years and stacking on his back.

In a sense, she could relate to him.

A jump couldn’t be helped when she felt the tap on her shoulder. “Yes?” 

Mira looked up to the women, taking a step back and turning to face her. “Y-yeah. how can I help you?” 

There she was, this tall woman who was mostly legs stood with her hands out and a part of her horn within her palms. She looked rather desperate, maybe even teary eyed. Obviously a rough day lead her to this as she stood the step forward to Mira.

“I’ve heard of you,” She continued, “You’re great at helping people. So help me.”

Freezing a moment, Kare stared down at the ground. Seemed he had, indeed, walked into the food. The assassin was too busy lost in his thoughts to even notice where he was going.

“O-Oh,” he stuttered, taking a few steps back out of it. “I’m so sorry! I didn’t notice!”

“You’ve been walking all over my stuff for the last five minutes. I don’t know if I should believe that,” Ihcairam narrowed their eyes, but it did look like he was out of thought-- or lost in thought rather.

With a soft sigh, the scooped up a handful of chicken food and tossed it on the ground, though no chickens came about. It was almost becoming just a little too obvious that the “chickens” they were talking about seemed to turn out to be only one chicken. One lowly chicken rushing over to eat all of the food.

They looked over at the others with a perked up brow, “You look lost. Do you need any help?”
