So aroundabout last year when I was replaying Lost World, I came up with a Zeti 'sona because the game is crazy vorny and the vorny compels me. His name is Zumble because my foxehs name is Tumble and I changed the first letter to a Z because all the Zeti names start with Z. And recently a couple of dear friends decided to ASSAULT ME with art of that Zeti 'sona and now it's all I can think about.

As you can see he's a pred and he eats Sonic. Because Sonic is mouthwatering<3
But really the impetus behind him is that I wanted a pred who could just voradicate the entire Sonic cast. Really there's nothing stopping my foxeh from doing that of course, but it just doesn't taste right for some of them. Particularly the thought of fox on fox noms is dissuading to me. But a zeti can go ahead and gobble up Tails as much as he wants~!
I reject this whole idea of Zeti being FROM the Lost Hex. There's nothing in the text of Lost World that supports that concept. That's definitely just a Flynnism, because Flynn is such a hack fraud devoid of any sense of imagination that he thinks because the Lost Hex was the location that the Zeti were introduced in in that game, that means that must be where they're from. Missing the fact that the Zeti are just Oni's, and thus they logically would be from the same place that oni's are from.
So therefore, the idea would be that Zumble just wandered down from the mountains one day, drunk on sake. And he would come across the various Sonic characters, and just be instantly smitten by how adorable they are. He wouldn't have any frame of reference for other life forms, he would have just grown up amongst Zeti and know only that harsh life style.
The way I'm thinking of it is like
Zumble sees the Sonics and multiple neurons fire off in his brain at the same time
Neuron of: delicious mouth watering food boy belongs in my belly<3
Neuron of: so cute and little and helpless furry creature, they need a big strong Oni like me to take care of them and keep them safe!
only proper neurological response is to lumber over scoop them up and belch in their face until they can't think straight and just swallow them down. Keep the cute helpless little fuzzy creature safe and warm and HIS inside his belly<3
Swallow them away and then wash them down with a swig of sake from a gourd he carries on his hip.
Until each and every single member of the entire cast is packed away into his belly, for keeps~
He would be crass and crude and brutish and wild, and would be rife with that benevolent chauvinism mentality of "oh that box looks heavy, let me carry it for you" but just towards anyone who isn't a Zeti. He would also be very intimidated and cowed by other Zeti, especially Zavok the strongest and most apex Zeti of them all. Buuuut considering how dog eat dog Zeti are, that doesn't mean they'd be off the table for him~ After all if he eats someone like Sonic, who has defeated Zavok handily before, then that would mean HE'S the new apex does it not~?
He is my frame of reference for all future self insert OC on Sonic noms scenarios lol
