Today I feel sad 

I’m from Belgium and I study in Leuven, which is very close to Brussels. This morning I could hear the sirens of the ambulances trying to get the injured to the hospital in Leuven. After the Paris attacks I thought the terror was close. I was afraid. I didn’t think that it would ever be this close.  But I don’t want to be afraid. And I know that there are places where this happens on a daily base. 

Brussels, my thoughts are with you, my thoughts are with the families and friends who lost their loved ones in the attacks. We have to stand united. We have to show that this doesn’t change who we are. 

Mijn hart is bij Brussel, mon coeur est à Bruxelles, my heart is with Brussels.
