New footage from Papanack zoo in Ontario shows animals living in complete squalor, and showing typical signs of captive stress, as shown with the cougar pacing back and forth, and the monkey swaying back and forth on the cage. These animals are bored out of their minds. These animals need help.

Hand feeding exotic animals is unethical, and what is really a training tactic to keep animals docile, is marketed as a show. Sound familiar?

In fact, hand feeding can encourage the transfer of diseases (peep the young child feeding the bear) and it also makes the animal completely reliant on the human. That is not a good thing. Thousands of years ago, we had to domesticate animals for survival. Now, it is just a cruel practice that serves to make money, and we really don't need to domesticate these animals. They need sanctuaries. Something that makes them feel, well, WILD.

Owning an Orca is illegal in Ontario, so it should be illegal to keep a lion like this.

It should also be illegal to pawn BABY exotic animals off for photo opportunities as well.

Baby lions are often starved so they are hungry for the bottle feeding photos. This is wrong. Please sign our petition to help change the laws in Ontario, Canada. We can stop this unnecessary cruelty.

@keyhollow​ I know you’re American and this is in Canada, but there’s a zoo here in Ontario that’s exploiting animals as well as participating in animal abuse and Ontario doesn’t have any regulations about this. In fact, Ontario has really shitty animal protection laws in general.

it’s unbelievable we can’t just prance ourselves around but we also steal fucking lions and treat them like dead things, these lions aren’t made to deal w drunk ppl or bars etc, they are sensitive and this is abuse you can’t just change their environment especially to a bunch of unstable bitches. seriously when will people realize this is not good for the animals but only themselves—fuck they pet them and show them around and feed them lol like they’re not tortuting them, it’s insane.

They also brought their animals to our local fair again this year, and they had their lion, a baby wolf, a kangaroo, a Peregrine FALCON, three monkeys and some lemurs. we had many reports that they were so close to the music stage, they looked completely scared and stressed. And when the animals wanted to sleep, the zookeepers would wake them up just to entertain people.

We went and protested and got mostly support from drivers, but the owners of the zoo have a HUGE family and they have friends everywhere in my community. People have been trying to shut down Papanack for almost 15 YEARS. Nothing will change until the laws do, which is what our petitions are for.

I am still looking for more people that reside in Ontario that would like to gather signatures, as well as anyone who has experience with YouTube to help me set up a channel. Thank you.

I'm not 100% sure if there was weed inside that paper (he said it was candy after he was called out) but regardless, this monkey lives in a trailer full time, he looks terrified, it's dark in there, this is not how monkeys should be treated. This took place at Roaring Cat Retreat in Grand Bend. The police were called, this is completely LEGAL IN ONTARIO.

If nothing else this shouldn’t be called a zoo, it’s a sideshow of animal abuse that appears to be run by severely ignorant people that if there’s any justice in the world will have these animals takes somewhere safe and away from them and then they get tossed in jail. Or fed to the animals they’re exploiting.

You know it's bad when your one star reviews fly off the Google ratings chart. Look at these fake ass paid reviews. It's hard to find them in the sea of bad reviews, but they're there lol. Papanack Zoo actually called the police on me because I was digging into this too hard.
