TOKiMONSTA - Go With It (ft vox from MNDR) Album: Half Shadows (2013) Jennifer Lee aka Tokimonsta is an electronic, house, pop music producer from LA. Check out her track Soul to Seoul too, featuring some Massive Attack, trip hop vibes.
Palma Violets - Best of Friends Album: 180 (2013) Roaring, low tech, energetic, indie rock and roll. If you ever get the chance to see this band live, do it! They’re a bit of a handful for some venue owners but the unrelenting energy from audience and performers is spectacular. It gets pretty damn sweaty. Ooh yea.
Radiohead launch app PolyFauna for iOS and Android
App synopsis:
PolyFauna is an experimental collaboration between us (Radiohead) & Universal Everything, born out of The King of Limbs sessions and using the imagery and the sounds from the song Bloom.
It comes from an interest in early computer life-experiments and the imagined creatures of our subconscious.
Your screen is the window into an evolving world. Move around to look around. You can follow the red dot. You can wear headphones. You can get some pretty strange looks on the train.
The app is free and available to download from here on iOS and Android.
Alt-J an awesome wave album
Ambient / Atmospheric / Stargazer
If you're studying, relaxing, meditating, writing, drawing, or anything else of the sort and would like to fill the room from wall to wall with flourishing yet smooth, dense but delicate, beautiful layers of sound... listen to this album. Everything and Nothing - Hammock Originally posted their [Oblivion Hymns] album but it’s been removed from Soundcloud. Click the link to listen on Spotify.

Glastonbury Festival - Talent Required!!
(Image: 7-snapshots)
If you think you're at the level to play some tunes at Glasto, you can apply for a slot by entering their Emerging Talent Competition. And why the hell not!? You've got to be in it to win it
Or maybe you've got some fresh lines to recite, through the medium of spoken word or poetry. Take a look here. Good luck.
This is what it's all about. Raw, sweaty, raucous, rock-n-roll, in a venue the size of a shoe box.
Palma Violets - Best of Friends
This really is something special. Released today:
Sampha - Too Much
Sampha, until recently, is best known for his collaborations with SBTRKT and has been getting what I can only describe as an unfathomable boost in publicity in the past day or so. This single has been featured as the Zane Lowe's Hottest Record, a prestigious position to be in. There is also a collaborative version of this song, featured on Drake's September 2013 album Nothing Was The Same, which has also been played repeatedly on BBC Radio 1.
Sampha is definitely worth keeping an eye on, he is really going places and it will be interesting to see where he progresses to next. With an absolutely outstanding voice like his there is always going to be something interesting in the pipeline.
Keyboard set up for Nordic Giants. (at Moles)
The Jezabels - Try Colour Album: Prisoner (2012)
Female vocals, anthem style indie rock. This keeps popping up in my playlist and always grabs my attention when my mind is wandering or otherwise vacant.
Blonde Redhead - Falling Man Album: Misery Is A Butterfly (2004)
It’s kinda weird Menacing and twisted melodies but in a non-disturbing listener friendly way.
Sounds a bit like what Jack White would have ended up like; if he went through some extra tough times in life, lived reclusively for nearly a year due to depression, and went for a different vocal style and more stripped down sound.
Don’t worry, sometimes my descriptions bemuse me too…
