Lines and Spaces and The Voices Unheard Ensemble are hosting a free concert at 3 p.m. Feb. 8 at First Parish Church, 76 Church Green in Taunton.
The event will feature works by female composers from the 17th to 21st centuries, including music by Reena Esmail, Etta James, Barbara Strozzi and Lili Boulanger, according to a community announcement.
The concert is family-friendly and will include a brief commentary about each piece. There will also be an activity for children.
Rose Baker (violin) and Annierose Klingbeil (viola) will perform alongside guest artists from The Voices Unheard Ensemble. The lineup includes Julia Klingner on flute, Brandon Chan on clarinet and Katie Fontaine on bass clarinet.
The concert is funded in part by a grant from the Taunton Cultural Council, a local agency supported by the Mass Cultural Council.
