“Look, I’ve had a really long day. Whatever it is, just spit it out already.”`
Indigo nodded, swallowing hard before holding up the folded pieces of paper that had fallen from the woman’s bag. “I think these belong to you.”
brent-moore:
Brent shrugged a little bit. “Either would be fine. Just have to call a tow truck. Thank you for this considering how we left things.”
Indigo shrugged awkwardly at his comment. “It’s...fine.” She moved to hand him the business phone. “I wouldn’t leave you stranded.”
Leah was just about to close up Lace for the night until she heard someone come through the door. “I’m sorry but the store is closed for the night.” She told the person who just walked through. @secretsummerstarters
“Sorry, Leah. It’s just me. I left my phone here before.” Indigo called out, moving quickly towards the till to grab her phone from the shelf underneath. “Do you need any help locking up?”
@secretsummerstarters
Kristen was seriously considering applying for the local newspaper, knowing that she needed a change from her current writing job that could hopefully move her career further from where she was currently stuck. Staring at the application, she sighed as she wondered if she was even good enough to submit it. Either this was going to work or she’d be rejected and her confidence was going to tank and she wasn’t sure she was ready for that.
Indigo looked around the cafe, chewing on her lip when she saw that there were no empty tables. She was about to give up and just go sit outside, even though it was colder than she liked when she saw an empty table and a woman sitting quietly. “Do you mind if I sit here?” She asked softly, hoping she wasn’t disturbing her.
greta--goulding:
“Oh come on, that can’t be true.”
Indigo sighed softly. “I’m not very good at this whole not putting myself down thing...”

“That was not God’s love!” Finn growled into the phone. “That was a hate speech. I have never been so ashamed… Our job is to lead them to Christ. Christ’s job is to tell them what they did wrong… No, you know what I am not sure I will be!” There had been a sermon preached at church that had been nothing but judgement and hate. He had never been so ashamed of his mentor in his life. It had taken everything for him not to have interrupted service, but that had not been his place. He hung up the phone shoving it into his pocket. He frowned a bit as he looked up and realized he was being watched. “I am so sorry. You shouldn’t have had to hear my rage…”
Indigo had been walking past when she caught the tail end of a phone conversation. She tried to look down, not wanting it to look like she had been eavesdropping. When he started to speak to her, she looked up, shaking her head. “Oh, no, I didn’t hear anything.”
greta--goulding:
“I guess it is… At least when it comes to carnival games.”
“I’m pretty sure I don’t have any.” She admitted.
greta--goulding:
“I’m surprisingly good at getting a hoop onto a bottle.” Greta laughed.
Indi smiled softly. “Sounds like a good skill to have.”
greta--goulding:
“It’s not a problem.” Greta assured her. “If I really want another one, I’ll just go win myself another.”
Indigo looked from the bear to her. “I’m impressed with your confidence.”
greta--goulding:
“Yeah.” Greta shrugged. “Why not? Gives you something to hug besides yourself.”
Indigo blushed slightly, not realizing how tightly her arms had been wrapped around herself and forcing them to her sides. “Thank you. That is very nice of you.”
greta--goulding:
“Why thank you.” Greta smiled, now holding the bear out to the other. “You want it? Stuffed toys haven’t really been my thing since I was little.”
Indi looked at her. “Wait, really? You just want to give it to me?”
“You know, normally I would rather get my teeth pulled than come to the fair, but I won a teddy bear this year, so maybe it’s not that bad.”
@secretsummerstarters
“The fair isn’t really my scene either.” Indi admitted, looking around at all the crowds before wrapping her arms around herself. “But it is a very cute teddy bear.”
mollysmatthews:
“Dunno if I even really want to bother giving it a shot.” She chuckled at herself a little, turning to look at the other. “What about you?”
“I think I will probably stick to rides a bit closer to the ground.”
@secretsummerstarters
“Man, that’s pretty high..” She said, staring up towards the top of one of the rides. Looked fast too.
Indigo looked up at the ride in question. She was trying to conquer her fears lately, especially after her conversation with Shelley and she knew the fair would be crowded. “Really high.” She agreed.
shelley-burke:
She got up offering the girl her hand with a bright smile
Indigo smiled, taking her hand and getting up.
shelley-burke:
She smiled brightly. “Do you want to go now. It’s a nice day and we could probably enjoy laying out in the sun if nothing else.”
Brent kept telling her there was no time like the present and she nodded. “Let’s go enjoy the sun.”
shelley-burke:
“It’s the same thing though. You have something that’s hard for you and you’re getting help for it.” she said looking at her. “So it shouldn’t be something that makes you feel pathetic.”
Indigo nodded, taking her hand and giving it another squeeze. “You’re right. I shouldn’t be so hard on myself.”
