I suddenly came to the realization that, to me, Octavius, Octavian and Augustus are 3 completely different people.
Like, I can't explain it properly, but it's as if he changed his personality after changing his name (and he changed names a little too often if you ask me). Sure, it's still him, I can tell, but somehow it's... not him anymore, if you know what I mean.
Please, I can't be the only one who sees it 😭
this, octavian feels like a young idealist and augustus feels like a sly propagandist. [GUYS ITS ROBERT MOSES HES ROBERT MOSES]
YES, in my head Octavius is the kid who struggles to prove his worth in a world that feels too big and chaotic, while Octavian is the young man with a plan who's fighting for the power in the mess that is the Late Republic (but despite his cunning, he's still inexperienced, and resorts to violence to keep afloat), and Augustus is simply not a man anymore, but a concept, a semi-god who's seen it all by now and thinks he's somehow superior, so he behaves like life is a chessboard and calculates every move to make sure his public image isn't stained in any way, like he's perfection incarnate (but life always finds a way to humble him, reminding him that he's still painfully human).
Friendly reminder that Pride month might be ending soon, but they'll never stop being gay:
sometimes i think about 12 bc and how augustus was sobbing spitting crying throwing up for over a month after gripp gripp died
it makes me sad and i start rolling around and convulsing
‘She will lie, she will cheat, and she will do everything in her power to stop you from slaying her. Don't believe a word she says.’
the most niche thing ever but whatever I post for myself and the octony in my brain. slay the princeps- heavily based off of the artstyle from the game slay the princess^^
very happy pride to octagrippa from imperium:augustus
image is mine hi
The weeping sea.
NO GRIPPY SOCK GRIPPY SOCKS. NO GRIPPY WOCKS
i wish we could read augustus' funeral eulogy for agrippa
PLEASE
Choose your Agrippa
I know Augustus and Agrippa are gay, I just can't find any evidence to prove it.
I think their whole life was proof enough
please draw more octagrippa..they’re so precious to me and i love the way you draw them so much!!😸😸
I didn't plan them out but they turned out to be like a sequence lol 🤭 I hope you like it :3
OH IT’S AMAZING JT’S WONDERFUL IT’S BEAUTOFULL
My favorite Roman: Octavian
My most hated Roman: also Octavian
I love that murderous twink
Saw a reel going "Marriage is scary, what if he's not like Octavian Augustus".
And I was like... girl. PRAY he's NOT like Octavian Augustus.
REASONS TO NOT END IT:
"its pride month now so there will be rainbows everywhere rainbows are nice"
