One day, when I'm dead, someone at the Gates will ask me if I did anything to qualify for admission to Writers' Heaven. And then I'll list all the books I wrote, and all the good deeds I tried to do, and the worthwhile causes I supported, and they will just stare at me, unsmiling and unimpressed. And finally, in desperation I'll say "Well, I was the first one to put David Tennant and Michael Sheen together..." And the unimpressed expression will become a huge and delighted smile. "You did that?" they will say. "God LOVES them!"

They probably still won't let me in to Writers' Heaven, but I will take that one thing with me as my fragment of Grace, as I trudge down the stairs to Writers' Hell.

Crowley’s Statue

there is no way Crowley thought he could get away with having that statue without Aziraphale seeing it at some point. and what is he gonna say? there is no logical explanation for why he has it other than, “It made me think of us.” which is ALL KINDS OF GAY. who does he think he’s fooling?! and then of course there is the possibility that he had it commissioned. which once again is ALL KINDS OF GAY… i rest my case.

Ineffable Husbands Meet Auras

This is what I believe went down when Anathema looked at our fav. Ineffable Husbands’ auras -

Anathema, to Zira- Aziraphale your aura is so bright and wonderful. It’s just beautiful to look at.

Anathema, turning to Crowley - *screams* Oh goodness I’ve gone blind! Why are you so HAPPY?!

Good Omens Meets Pride Flag

I am convinced that because Crowley and Aziraphale experienced the VERY FIRST rainbow together they just adore the pride flag and it just reminds them of their love for one another and they never miss an opportunity to display it.

•

• Aziraphale would be subtle in his support of it like having a flag somewhere in the bookshop and would just….blush….if anyone mentioned it.

•

• Crowley would be obnoxious and almost unbearable. Wearing rainbow - patterned suits and sunglasses. Arranging any colored plants in his loft in a way so they’d make a rainbow when in bloom.

•

• And of course they would march together proudly in the parade with Crowley decked out in as many rainbow colored clothing articles he could possibly find - holding hands with his angel who enthusiastically waves a small handheld flag with a matching one painted on his cheek (which Crowley convinced him to get, the pushover) and occasionally Aziraphale would lean heavily on Crowley because sometimes the love just overwhelms him. Crowley just lets him because any opportunity to get closer to his angel is worth it to him.

Aziraphale as unofficial patron saint of queer people throughout history

Aziraphale being fluent in queer slang and polari

Aziraphale's being the only bookshop daring to stock The Picture of Dorian Gray during the trial

Aziraphale offering his shop as a refuge for queer people needing safety, somewhere to duck away from the world, from persecution, from harm

Aziraphale being nicknamed Mother Gloria by those who he loves and protects, which makes him cry

Aziraphale stocking and selling all sorts of books dealing with LGBTQ themes and issues, the only books he is happy to see people buy

Aziraphale who keeps a supply of spare dust jackets to hide books in if it isn't safe for you to have them out in the open

Aziraphale who always miraculously has the kettle just boiled with enough for one more cup every time you most need a chat

Aziraphale having Crowley by his side in all of these endeavours because if the churches and "decent society" preach against something then surely any good demon would happily encourage that said something

Aziraphale and his bookshop becoming mythologised by the queer community, this man who seems not to age and who will always offer shelter and support, and his partner who will listen to your tales of any unkindness you've received and will see the perpetrator thoroughly upset and inconvenienced for it

Aziraphale being absolutely overrun with cards and gifts and congratulations when he finally first calls Crowley his husband
