“Hmm…. I believe an investigation is then in order… You are free to go, do keep in mind I may request your assistance later on.”
"Alright then." Elizabeth looked around the room, unable to determine which direction to go. "Would you mind telling me which way is out?"

“Well, it is beautiful scenery, so it makes sense that you would be in awe of it.” Annie smiled, “It’s even more wonderful to live here. You get to spend so much time in the water, and with the sun beaming down. I would say it’s the perfect place to live.”
"That really does sound amazing. It's possible I might never leave now." As soon as the words left her lips, she realized how true they might be and her smile fell a bit. "Then again, I'm not sure I have a way home, so that might be more of a reality than I thought. Either way, it's a lovely place to be stuck."
"So what is there to do around here? Other than nearly run into people while admiring the scenery?"

“You might.” She said, folding her arms behind her back, “You can call me Rosalind.”
"Either way, it's nice to meet you Rosalind. I'm Elizabeth." She begins to fiddle with the thimble on her pinkie finger. "The only Rosalind I can think of is the author of... Wait." She immediately stops and looks back up at the woman in front of her. "You wouldn't happen to be...?"
“Wow, you haven’t been out long. There are posters all around the city talking about The Lamb in Monument Island and the False Shepherd coming to lead you astray. I guess breaking you out counts as leading you astray… Is anyone chasing you? Because the guy who broke you out is a wanted man.”
"Is it that obvious?" She tried to play it off with a laugh. "So all of these posters and stories, you think they're about me? They're well known, though, right? And yet they were never mentioned in any of my books. You'd think something that important wouldn't be left out..." Her head was reeling from all this new information, she wasn't quite sure how to process all of it. Was she really someone special? She'd spent countless hours trying to figure out why she'd been trapped in that tower and when she saw that she'd been watched the whole time, she thought she'de figured it out then. But it seemed she was wrong. "Tell me more about all this." Maybe it would be easier to piece together if she knew the parts of the stories that had been omitted from her books all these years. "I'm not sure if Mr. DeWitt is coming after me. He probably is." She shook her head in disbelief. "All of this. Just for me?"
Many Climbed aboard.
“Hah…” He shoved a hand into his pocket, he kicked up dust with one foot “Your troublesome, one moment you say you act angry the next you act so kind to me, what is with women?” He turned taking a couple of moments to draw something out of his pocket, “I found this by the way, I thought that maybe you would want it.” He handed her a thimble. “Just this once I’m giving you something.”
"I believe there's a saying that says something about how it's a women's prerogative to change her mind." She turned her attention to the object in his extended hand. Reaching out, she smiled as she took the thimble from him. It was a small gesture, but more than she had expected from him as of late. "Thank you. I think this one's a bit nicer than my other." She switched out the thimble on her pinkie and placed the extra in her pocket, smiling down at the new adornment "You know, I hear they're all the rage in Paris, quite fashionable." She gave a small shrug before twirling the thimble on her finger. "Though I suppose most of them don't wear it to cover up a hideous deformity."

Woah.
That’s a lot of bodies.
I'd say. Though it's nice to see there are bodies left still breathing left in your presence. I imagine it doesn't occur often.
“A tear. A bold theory indeed. One would have to be close enough to prove its existence, of course. The journey is no doubt one you’d struggle to take.”
"Bold isn't really telling me if my theory is wrong or right. I guess I'll have to see for myself then if you won't tell me. And any journey out of my tower is one I'll struggle to take, Ms. Lutece."
“Elizabeth.” He repeated, the name sounding oddly familiar too him. ”Pleasure to meet you, too.” He nodded, smiling back at her gently. He spaced out for a short moment, unable to take his mind off of the way her eyes looked… kind of like his own. It almost felt like he was looking into his own eyes and, putting two and two together, he realized who he was standing in front of.
“I… I don’t believe we have, n-no. But… I think I know why it might seem that way.” Looking around he bit his bottom lip, surveying the situation around him. ”We need to speak but we might need to find someplace a bit more private.”
Elizabeth smiled back at him as greeted her, but as he spaced out, she titled her head to the side and narrowed her eyes. She tried to figure out what it is he might be pondering when she started to think how familiar he looked. Familiar face, familiar place, but she'd never seen either before. Had she?
Before she could properly formulate what was going on here, he spoke up. "Alright then, let's go." She couldn't tell why, but she trusted that this boy in front of her was honest about his intentions and clearly knew something she was missing. She knew it was something right in front of her, but at this point, it was better to just let him explain. Glancing around, she noticed a side path that looked like it led to somewhere a bit more secluded, so she gestured for him to follow as she started to walk off.
“We have to find out where we can board it, maybe find a map.” Booker looked around, anything would help now…
"A map." Elizabeth paused to think where one could find a map. "Are there any shops around here? We might be able to find one there. Unless one's posted around here." As she pondered, she looked down at her feet and shuffled them across the ground. She caught a glint of something shining and bent down to pick up the glimmering object. "And now we might even have something to pay for it with. Here, catch," she said as she tossed the coin to him.
Finnick nodded, beginning to lead her down the winding path towards the ocean. “I have a gentleman’s calling when it comes to lost and wandering damsels.”
“Born and raised. It’s a beautiful place, one of the nicer Districts. Which are you from?”
Elizabeth followed along beside him along the path. "So I'm a wandering damsel? I can't argue the lost part. Lucky for me I came across you and not someone devious then, isn't it?"
"Oh, me? I'm not from a District. Actually, I'm not sure you'd believe me if I told you where I was from."
“Actually, no that doesn’t sound crazy. You’re the lamb. There are posters up and everything. Seriously. Like, people worship you. That explains everything! … Like Monument Island being destroyed. What happened up there, anyways?”
"The Lamb? I've never read anything about worshiping a Lamb other than in the Bible. What are you talking about? I don't see how that explains anything. As for my tower, there was a man who... who helped me escape. And Songbird wasn't to keen on the idea."
