Hello! Another year went by in the Royal Fandom and this time, I am glad to announce my 5th Annual Follow Forever in occasion of my birthday!

It’s so crazy to think it’s been five years since I joined this fandom and I am still very happy I did, even with its ups and downs! And lastly, I want to say how happy it makes me that apart that I won the bet (lmao Rosie love me still!!) that engagement brought the old Squad™ back together, so it makes my heart sing the fact that I can have people like Crystal, Jo and Ana back in my dash.                              There was nothing to forgive, not when she knew all along how much they needed to get away from the mess it all had become in England. Their presence brought such happiness that Ingrið did not think twice before reaching them for a tight embrace - a loud laugh fell from her uncle’s lips at how desperate Ingrið was to have all of them in her arms. Floki’s giggle brought so many good memories that Ingrið felt all her latest concerns fading away to give place to a happy moment. She did not want to let them go, but when she did, Ingrið’s full attention was Helga’s. Their last moment together had been the most intense of Ingrið’s life, it taught her to value family more than she already did.

                  “I knew and I told you we would meet again. It amazes me that it is at the right time, though.” She chuckled, a smile lingered on her lips as she watched all of them. They looked older, and so did she. But their eyes and how comfortable and happy Ingrið felt around them remained the same. “Where have you been all this time?”

                                  Ingrið did not set a foot in Kattegat that day, too busy with her own annoying thoughts to be around so many people getting ready for their journey. She spent her last day in Kattegat at the farm she had always been desperate to leave - Ingrið suddenly felt homesick, though since a very young age, she always seeked for the place that felt like home. She had no idea how long they would stay in England, and how long it would take for her to reclaim Aarhus. Nothing felt certain anymore. When her aunt returned, she was followed by Henrik and Asmund, it was almost dusk - Ingrið barely noticed how long she kept herself busy. “I thought you would be in Kattegat, child!” Her uncle greeted her with a wide smile on his lips. Ingrið just shrugged at him, quickly leaving to her bed before Asmund noticed there was something wrong.

                            The next morning, she was the first one to arrive at the ships. Everything was so quiet that she enjoyed the silence and the fresh air to put herself together before all the fuss of their departure. Not much longer later, her uncle and cousin joined her and suddenly there was too many people - husbands saying goodbye to their families, and perhaps lots of them would never see each other again. A Great Army to avenge King Ragnar’s death was gathered, but being in the field of battle always meant uncertainty, and that have been a very present word in the last few months. Ingrið was already sitting on a corner of the ship while her uncle kissed his wife for the last time before joining her, but a smiley Hvitserk followed by Ivar caught her sight. 

                               Of course there was a huge scowl on her face, of course she snorted at Hvitserk’s teasings, and of course she wanted to avoid Ivar. But being in the same ship as him for a great amount of time would be unbearable if was still angry at him. Nevertheless, Ingrið was stubborn enough to keep that attitude when Ivar approached. “What do you want?”

DUCHESSCAMBRIDGES’ Christmas 2017 FOLLOW FOREVER! I had such a good 2017, as it was the year I successfully completed my junior year of college, obtained & fully completed an internship (where I met the most amazing woman EVER! lol), and began my senior year of college. I did not do it all by myself - I had friends and family help me get to where I am & some of these people were on tumblr!

                                     A loud and desperate gasp parted her lips when her eyes caught Hvitserk getting stabbed. Her first instinct was to run towards the man before he could hurt more of her people, and ripping the flesh of his throat with her sharp blade felt good - her thirst for any and all kind of revenge had only grown until that point. Ingrið rushed to reach Hvitserk, she quickly ripped the fabric of the sleeve of his tunic to press against the wound. “You damn fool! I told you to try not to get yourself killed!” She hoped the forced playful tone on her voice would help to ease his pain and keep him awake. 

                            Of course the sight of someone she cared for bleeding was not a good one, but Ingrið handled it better than if it was her own blood gushing from her. “You have to get up.” She said, her eyes looking for someone that could help them. They were all busy killing, not all of them really fighting. Ingrið had no idea where all that strenght came from, but after placing Hvitserk’s good arm over her shoulder, she helped him to get up. “Press the cloth on the wound, just press it.” It was hard to carry him, and she thanked all the Gods when the familiar face of her cousin was on her sight. “Henrik, you idiot! Help me here!”

This is my first follow forever on this blog, and it is a VERY well deserved one! I’ve had an incredible year here, it’s been amazing to meet so many nice people, to interact with each of you ic an ooc. It hasn’t been all good and sunny for me this year, and I feel so grateful that many of you helped me in your own special way when I felt ( many times, heh! ) everything was lost for me. Ingrið’s first anniversary is still yet to come, but I couldn’t ignore the insane but also amazing year I’ve had.                           “Do not be silly!” She rushed to reply him. “I am never busy for old friends, and it is the first time you visit me, so I will proudly show you my lands.” Ingrið winked at him, a smile lingering on her lips. She was indeed proud of the effort she put since reclaiming Aarhus - what was once an almost wrecked land, with a rich and irresponsible Earl, turned into a great trading city with happy people. With real faithful allies and their benefits. It sounded a lot like a happy ending, but Ingrið never went too far from her concerns. She built a place that would need a legacy - she had made herself known. A good warrior and shieldmaiden, with a kind heart when there was not something sharp on her hands.

               Ubbe looked like someone who needed a distraction. Since she could remember, he had always been the reasonable one of all the Ragnarssons, and she heard plenty of times he was much like a Ragnar that Ingrið never met. Rising from the chair she was sat, Ingrið left the cup over the table and reached out her hand to him. “Shall we?” Eyebrows raised, a smirk tugged in the corners of her lips. “We have a great number of good farms here, I think you will like it.”

Well, it’s been a year now

To anyone who celebrates, Merry Christmas Eve! For me, it’s also something else. it’s my Ragnarversary! A year ago, I finished making this blog. I made him on a whim, broke my own rule about watching a show at least 3 times, before I made a character.

I remember coming into this, and thinking that I had no idea how to play him, that only @norseblooded would ever interact with me and that I’d be gone in a week, because I couldn’t take on this amazing character.

But, I’m extremely lucky and there’s people that I roleplayed with, that I still write with, a year later. I am very lucky and thankful that so many of you, think that I do Ragnar justice and I plan on keeping on for as long as I can, with him. He’s challenged me a lot in writing this year and I’m glad for the friends, for the people who have become like family and for the amazing writing, you’ve all given me, over this past year. I said I wasn’t going to do this, but these are in no specific order, but just some people who have been amazing and continue to be amazing to write with. Like I said, some I’ve written with forever, others only a short time, but me and Ragnar appreciate you all.

                      Ingrið snorted at his words before shutting the bathroom’s door behind her before she gave him a bad mouthing answer. One that Ivar actually deserved, most of the times, thanks to all this teasings. They were both restless at teasing each other, and each time there was something about it that Ingrið couldn’t tell - not yet. She felt lighter after a long and warm shower, and she was glad for being dressed when Ivar stood outside, waiting for her. He stood. Her mouth slightly dropped in shock, and happiness washed over her. So that was the reason he never replied to her texts, he was at the doctor - Ingrið felt a bit disappointed at herself for not asking about his day and most of all: for not noticing. 

            She couldn’t stop a giggle to be the first sound to come out of her mouth at how relaxed Ivar looked, holding the bottle of her vodka. “I’m so happy for you, Ivar.” Ingrið didn’t think twice before wrapping her arms around him on a tight embrace. She never noticed how tall he really is. And how short she is compared to him - Ivar could easily cover her with his arms if he wanted to, and that made her cheeks blush. Hands were softly placed on his shoulders when she took a short step backwards. “Can we celebrate it with all the alcohol we have at home and movies or you want to go out?” She secretly hoped he would want to stay home.
