Testing the waters with the WWDITS fandom to see if it’s still alive.. I present to you my Guillermo WIPs and a Nandor 🗣️
I’ve been binge watching the show for the last 3 days now and I’m finally about to start the 6th season!! :D
The Primetimer article on Assad's performance as Armand
Instead of more doomposting, I wanted to draw attention to one of the few media pieces centered solely on Assad and his performance as Armand in Season 2(apart from that wonderful Vulture article, but one that is more gushing about his performance). Some screenshots from this piece. It's not a big media outlet or anything, but it's still amazing.

I'll always pick chardee over macdennis, because while mac and dennis share a freakuency, charlie and dee are literally prepared to eat people together under no real pressure
Went to the grocery store with my kindergartener. We weighed some bananas: 2 pounds even. We weighed a watermelon: 4 pounds even. We weighed some mangos: a little over 1 pound. We weighed the watermelon AND the bananas: 6 pounds even.
“That’s funny” said the child “because 2+4=6 and two pounds and four pounds is six pounds. It’s like the same as math!”
“What happens if you add 6+1?”
“SEVEN”
“What if we put one pound of mangos on the scale?” <mangos added>
“IT’S THE SAME!!”
“OK, what’s 7-4?”
“Three?”
“What if we take the four pound watermelon off the scale?” <watermelon removed>
“Mama! Are you telling me math works In Real Life? Think of all the things you could measure!!”
are you gonna pick those penne noodles out of the boiling water one by one like a man, or are you gonna use a strainer like some kind of democrat?
A lot of people still don’t understand me when I say that reversing desertification is a good thing. They think I hate deserts
Let me put it this way. I really like the ocean. However I don’t think it’s a good thing for the ocean to flood inland destroying ecosystems and villages because some of the natural hills that kept it at bay have been mined away. Me building a dam to keep the ocean away to bring back some of the natural barrier that was lost isn’t me trying to destroy the ocean. It’s me keeping the ocean out of my goddamned ecosystem where it isn’t meant to be anyways.
People planting new trees and grasslands on the edge of the Sahara desert aren’t trying to get rid of the entire desert. They’re replacing the natural root systems that kept the soil from blowing away that have been eaten away by overgrazing. They’re replacing the natural barrier that keeps the desert in its goddamned place.

My boyfriend was on lunch duty at his school yesterday and a little boy came up to him and asked him about his tattoos. When he got to the one of Bigfoot getting beamed up by aliens, the boy said “Were you born in Seattle?” And my boyfriend goes “……yes?” And the little boy knowingly goes “yeah I can tell”
At the post office today:
Man with beautiful silver undercut and a coach bag: can I get a sheet of stamps please
Clerk: does it matter what kind?
Man, with homosexual despair: EVerything matters to me, unFORtunately.
keep thinking about how I wrote in my dissertation about how every time a new form of public/social space emerges it's immediately popular with kids and teenagers who see it as a chance at freedom and then adults colonise it and kick them out. this happened with malls in the 80s and diners in the 50s and pool halls in the 20s. my dad was doing research on this trend in like 1975. and I was like "yeah so this is going to happen to the internet" and then five years later every government suddenly decided to ban kids from everywhere online. I hate being right especially when I don't even get paid for it
holy shit
