すき!
w/ @inhomp
Jinsoul is not shy. Surely, she is well mannered and appropriately demure, but has never had much trouble being friendly with strangers. It seems just a few cute drinks are all she needs for her outgoing attitude to overcome her bashful demeanor when confronted with someone cute. She isn’t even self-conscious about being too tall or too plain or too loud like she usually is.
Besides, Inho isn’t a stranger. Yes she knows of him more than she actually knows him, but he’s ViVi’s sibling, so they’ve practically met, and that’s just how she introduces herself.
“I’m Jinsoul, I’m friends with you sister!”
She’s spent a good deal of the night with the fox girl, and assumes her brother had seen this, but still gives a little giggle and curtsy, fingers lacing together behind her back when she finds herself staring down at the ground.
“You look nice tonight~”
Inho hadn't come with anyone, he would have liked to. Maybe one day he'd come with a date, but at least this way he could keep an eye on Ren and Vivi. He knew they were both adults but he wanted to keep track of them. Ren had gone home with his date and Inho had smiled a little to himself. It was nice, nice to see that the other boy was finding someone.
He was holding the glass of red wine in hand. His suit was fitted nicely, he felt confident in his suits they hid him in all the right ways. He was sure his hips looked straight in a suit, although still a little too round for his own self. He looked over when someone came over, he smiled a little. "Hi, I'm Inho."
He hadn't expected her next words. He had seen her talking to his sister so really had not been expecting that. He gave her a smile, " you look reaply pretty tonight." He said, wondering if the girl was drunk, or just tipsy. He wondered if she needed him to look after her.
Courage (the cowardly fox)| Inho + Mia
mpxmia:
Mia had somehow avoided the water balloon fight. It wasn’t really her thing - not that she didn’t like to have fun, obviously, but she’d forgotten that it had been planned and hadn’t brought a change of clothes. And she did not want to drip all over the place for the rest of the day. Besides, she had to work.
But she’d watched from a safe distance, and now that the fight was over and the area was safe again, she walked around the aftermath with an amused grin on her red lips. Out of the corner of her eye, Mia spotted someone familiar - Inho. He looked like he was unsure of what to do, gripping his wet shirt and letting it go. She narrowed her eyes and was about to say something when he saw her.
“Hey,” she greeted him with a smile and walked up to him. “Ah nope, I didn’t bring a change of clothes because I figured I’d be working all day and wouldn’t have the time to join the fight. Turns out I was wrong, but still.” She shrugged, then grinned again. “You look like you got got pretty good. Are you gonna change or something? You probably shouldn’t keep the wet shirt on.” God, she sounded like a mom. But there was something about the shirt that was bothering Inho, she sensed it, and he was a good friend. She trusted him and he trusted her, and she wanted to help.
Inho nodded at her own explanation. He didn’t have an excuse for this. How had been so stupid. “Ah... well.” He said trying to fix his shirt so it didn’t stick too awkwardly to his body. “I...” He tried to think of a decent reason for his state of attire and the seeming refusal he had to take it off. He needed a reason, a reason that wasn’t the truth. He knew being this far into his transition he should be feeling braver, feeling more like himself. And to an extent that was true, pre-surgery Inho would have been to afraid to do a water balloon fight for fear of their binder being exposed.
He took a small breath, there was no point lying to Mia, she would probably see through him anyway. “I forgot to bring a spare shirt. I didn’t think about it.” He looked over at the guys who’d been in the fight, they were now shirtless and there were girls who were now just in bikini tops. Inho tried his best not to stare at the other.
“I can’t...” he said quietly. “I can’t take my shirt off here.” He looked at the other. Trying not to fiddle with his shirt more. It was sticking to him and he knew that he should just take the shirt off. “My scars... It will be really obvious.” He said quietly. Mia had never seen but he assumed she understood what he meant about it all. He had two very distinct lines from where they had flattened his chest to where it should be, how it should be. “Everyone will know”
Dadnari| Inho + Inari
@mpinari
Inho was sat in the flower mill, iced latte in front of him as he stared at the text as if it would tell him all of it’s secrets. He was getting slightly frustrated, there were some ancient Kanji that he could simply not understand. He had struggled when he’d done his previous thesis - he had had to deal with confusing Kanji but writing about what the Japanese had done with the Christians in the medieval. He was ready to just move on from this, he was ready to get writing but he just needed to understand this text. He hoped that this would unlock the next part of his thesis.
He looked over when someone sat across from him. He looked at the man and tried to work out if he knew them. He looked over the ears. “So you’re a fox? or a cat?” He could be a child of someone, there were plenty of children who looked about this mans age. “I’m a fox, arctic.” He mumbled, he didn’t really need to explain himself, but yet here he was. “Can I help?”
Birthday Boy| Self
Inho didn’t know why he did this to himself. It was his birthday and he’d woken up early, read two Japanese texts and imagined opening his thesis document four times. He knew the post would come soon - he knew that it wouldn’t be different but he hoped. He hoped this would be the year that his mother accepted the choice he made seven years ago to begin his medical transition. It had been a year and a half since he’d had his chest surgery done and he’d managed to take his shirt off in public for the first time. He felt like he was coming so far and the person he wanted to be there for him wasn’t.
He had Vivi, yes, his little sister, she was great, but his mom. His mom was the person who had brought him into this world and given him up to Mount Phoenix because his ears made it obvious what he was. He watched as the post arrived and he quickly picked it up scanning through it. No card. His heart dropped, she still couldn’t love him. He threw the post down and picked up his books. He kept his head down as he left his apartment. He wanted to go to work, sit and look at the artefacts and not talk to anyone.

Puppy Play Date| Inho + Aura
@mpxauralie
Inho liked Auralie, and more importantly Dashi liked Bao Bao. Inho was a bit anxious, he hadn’t seen her since the festival. He’d been shirtless and while at the time it had been really fun and liberating. But now he was back in the real world, and real world meant coming out to people, admitting what he was. Which was terrifying. He’d never told anyone he didn’t have to and while he loved Aura and BaoBao he just hadn’t ever wanted, or needed to come out to her. He found being trans a difficult think to tell people. And so to save himself, he’d just not done it. Sure he wanted to - he thought about it constantly, but it was terrifying.
He smiled when he saw her. “Hey.” He laughed watching Dashi run over to see Bao Bao. “I brought some kimbap and other snack foods. Sorry I can’t do much fancy European food.” he gave her a smile as she joined him. “I’m sorry for not telling you that I’m trans.” he said before it could weigh on him. “I only really told my sister.”
He watched Dashi playfully running in circles. “Dashi has missed Bao Bao. Honestly, he’s so good with other puppies. But evil when it comes to my things.” He rolled his eyes, trying to control Dashi to get a hug, only getting the other to lick his face. “Yeah, thanks Dash.”

“Oh! I would love to! Carnival rides are the best.” The suggestion only made his already bright expression more radiant; ever one to project happiness like a Care Bear, thanks to his mother. And the possibility of making a friend only made his natural joyful aura stronger– after all, he was still (forever and always, it felt like) a little lacking in the friend department, due to work taking up all of his time.
“What’s your name? I feel like I’ve seen you around, but I don’t think we’ve talked? I’m Hongbin.” They had definitely crossed paths, he thought, although he could not place where, exactly. That didn’t matter, though; it just meant that maybe they ran in the same circles and so they would have something in common to chat about. That would be nice.
“It’s such a nice day, huh? Hot and sunny, perfect for a Sunshine Festival~”
Inho smiled, “Great. I was trying to pick which one to go on first but I don’t know.” He gave the man a small smile, “I kinda am new to fairground rides really.” Inho had been here too long really to be this way but he had always skipped events and just chosen to hole himself up in the library. He was always safe there but he wasn’t really living if he was just hiding his whole life.
“Hwang Inho, Son of Inari.” He said with a laugh pointing to his ears. “I’m pretty much always in the library or the university. If you take any of the history classes that involve Japan or Korea I’ve been a TA for many of them.” He said with a small nod. “I’ve been here since I was 13/14 so like 11 nearly 12 years.”
“It’s a great day, I missed most of these days last summer. I was holed up in the library. I really wanted to get my thesis done as quickly as possible but I don’t want to miss anything this year.”

mpxhui:
maybe hui is a little reckless. after getting a pair of rental skates from the roller disco’s booth, he is gliding across the rink. fortunately, he isn’t drunk (yet), so he has most of his hand-eye coordination. he really doesn’t mind skating alone. it’s more like he’s a hazard as others move out of the way when he would zip past them. for the most part, he is having fun. he really likes the vintage vibe of roller disco. really, he likes anything vintage or retro. also, there’s pizza.
there is someone who seems to be having a difficult time on the rink. he looks like a fawn trying to walk for the first time. hui easily comes to a stop next to the individual. “hey, you okay, man?” the stranger tries to push himself up, but he is ultimately unsuccessful. hui offers his hand, “here.” he helps inho stand up on his own, but the other male still seems to be unbalanced even standing still in roller skates. “geez… before you skate, you should make sure you can stand still in them first… you gotta walk before you can run.”
Inho wished he’d been gifted with a far better balance on these wheel-shoes but clearly that wasn’t something he was going to be able to do. He didn’t know how to gain his balance. He looked up at the guy who’s come over and stopped. He smiled taking the others hand. “Thanks.” He felt a little embarrassed, he knew he was bad but he couldn’t even get to his feet without help. He smiled at the guy.
“I sorta hoped I’d have a form of natural balance.” He laughed a little, “Clearly I was wrong.” He reached to keep himself up holding the barrier, because he assumed that the other man would not want him to hold onto him. That would probably be a bit much, considering they were meeting for the first time really. “I’m Inho.”
mpxvivi:
[ SMS: Inbro 🦊] i am! just finished working at the roller disco booth! 👌 [ SMS: Inbro 🦊] don’t freak out! i bet the ladies are loving it~ 😘 [ SMS: Inbro 🦊] sounds good! i’ll bring dessert~~~ 🍰🍨🍩
[sns - Vi♡] Oh was that fun? there’s no real jobs for museum workers here [sns - Vi♡] But I might have taken advantage of the stop’n’paws discounts for Dashi [sns - Vi♡] I don’t think anyone is loving it, people know. I guess I’m out now. [sns - Vi♡] Awesome! I love your desserts. I’ll cook :)
day off; [open]
It had been way too long since Hongbin had had a day off– a true day off when he wasn’t called into the lab or working on academic research. But, thanks to the Sunshine Festival, he was having a real day off. He had put on shorts and a tank top (unusual attire for him, considering he was often in work clothes), slathered on the sunscreen, and left the house with a spring in his step, excited for what the day might bring.
When he entered Central Park, the scene reminded him of a fair his grandparents had taken him to once when he was thirteen; loud, bright, full of nice smells and interesting attractions. It was good, and he was ready to let loose and have some fun. In fact, he spotted a ride he had loved when he was thirteen, something called The Scrambler, which whipped and zipped you all round. That was definitely what he was doing first, he decided.
So he did. And it was really, really fun. He came off the ride giggling, a little unsteady on his feet from all the spinning and lurching– so unsteady, in fact, that as he was exiting the ride, he accidentally stumbled into someone and grabbed their arm to right them both. “Oh, I’m sorry! I guess they call it The Scrambler because it scrambles your brain,” he commented cheerfully, his grin dazzling. “Have you tried it? It’s really fun.”
Inho had been debating going on a ride, maybe - he was working on experiencing everything and if he had his shirt off, then he should do other things. Nothing could scare him as much as his current state of undress. Inho didn’t have the greatest body, he knew that, he was on the thin side, and his hobby of dancing hadn’t given him muscles really, he wished it could have made him thicc. Although he knew that would probably make his dysphoria worse. He was just thin and toned with the ghost of abs.
He was finally starting to feel like not everyone was still staring at his chest. He was thinking, thinking about the order of rides to go on maybe. Or maybe he was over thinking that. He probably was but he was never really able to control his mind. He was always over-thinking. He was pulled out of his thoughts when someone walked into him. He looked at the other man and just nodded. “It’s ok.” He said, knowing it was weird that his first thought was to move to put his still damp shirt back on.
“I’m gonna go on it sometime” He laughed, trying to hide the fact that he was a little bit obsessed and was making a plan. He smiled, “If you wanna come... you can.”
Roller Fox|Open
Inho didn’t really know why he was roller skating, he guessed that he should try everything. He wanted to try to do as much as he could. He knew that a lot of his life had been him hiding and he finally looked the way he had always felt he should, although he did worry that his hips were still a little too curved. Although, he hadn’t asked his friends or sister because he one, didn’t want to draw attention to his feminine hips and two, knew they’d probably think him neurotic. So he pushed those thoughts out of his head, and had come to the roller disco.
He guessed he should have come with a date, but he didn’t have a date. He’d never had a date, or even a kiss. Unless you counted kissing Eros at the kissing booth. Which Inho was pretty sure did not count. He knew that dating him probably wasn’t an easy prospect. He wasn’t even entirely sure how far he would be willing to go, how he could touch or be touched. He wasn’t even certain what his sexual preference was. Did he prefer men or women? A question that he just could not answer.
Inho hoped that the fox in him had good balance as he started to skate. He’d never done this before, but he wanted to be good at it. He wanted to not fall flat on his face, but shortly after getting on the rink, Inho slipped, he let out a winded cry and then tried to push himself up. He looked up to see someone standing near him. “I’m ok.”
Courage (the cowardly fox)| Inho + Mia
@mpxmia
Inho was standing, soaked from the water balloon fight, he stood hands nervously at the hem of his shirt. He could take it off, he knew that. His surgery had been done over a year ago. His chest was flat and he had admired it in the mirror many times. He just had never been able to get the discolouration of his scarring to go down by that much. He’d been told by his surgeons, time and time again that his scarring would fade as time went on. He knew that if he took his shirt off, people would be able to see, they’d know his secret. A secret that he’d oh so carefully hidden under clothing since he’d arrived at Mount Phoenix as a young teen.
He took a small breath and released the shirt from his grip, he couldn’t take it off. People would see and then he’d basically be out to everyone. He wouldn’t be able to hide himself any longer if he took it off. Only a few people here knew, Vivi knew - because she was his sister and he couldn’t leave her in the dark about that part of his life. Ren knew, his doctors knew, and then Mia knew because he’d told her. He had been trying to very casually start injecting himself into conversations and trying to be more open.
Inho looked up and saw Mia. “Ah, Mia.” He gave her a smile, trying to flatten down his own shirt, make it look like he wasn’t trying to try to take it off. He just wanted to seem normal. He wanted to just fit in and seem normal. He gave the other a small nod. “I didn’t see you throwing balloons.”
Foxtail| Open
“Sister? Wow, small world.” It really was, but seeing as this place was quite small itself, it made sense that Wonwoo would have ran into two people of the same background. “But she seemed cool… after we had a bit of a spat, but that was just me being a dick in all honestly. Work was tough that day.” He chuckled, thinking back to the conversation he had with Vivi.
“Well dogs are tricky things. You need that special touch in order for them to actually listen to you.” Wonwoo replied, a small smile on his face. He reached forward again to pet the dog. “I do suggest lessons, especially if you don’t want him to run away like that again. You never know what can happen.” Wonwoo thought of the worst, but shook it out of his mind before smiling nicely at Inho.
Inho nodded “Yeah... apparently my fox-dad enjoyed spreading his seed.” He laughed a little. “Mhm.. my sister can handle herself.” He smiled playfully, “So I’m sure some of it was on her part. She’s a tough cookie really but she’s got a heart of gold.” He knew it was probably strange to feel this strongly about a sibling who wasn’t 100% blood. “We’ve both been on the island 10 years together so I’m as protective as a big brother can get but also I do understand that she can be difficult sometimes.”
“Yeah.” He smiled at the dog, “Hear that Dashi, we’re finally going to classes.” He fussed his dog and smiled back at Wonwoo, “I have been so caught up in my thesis preparation that I completely forgot to research classes.” He knew he probably sounded like an awful dog owner, but he did truly love Dashi.
