life after
Shinhye laid in bed every night looking at that fateful letter that brought her here, the boarding passes to the flights, the map, even the envelope that had initially contained them all - maybe the longer she stared at these pieces of paper, suddenly a hidden message would jump out at her, she thought. A week of doing this night after night (and sometimes during the day) and she had yet to discern any details she may have missed from her prior scrutiny.
It took a lot for Shinhye to approach strangers normally. You'd think in a completely new environment, in a completely new country halfway across the world, this attribute of hers would be exacerbated - but it was actually quite the opposite. Was it just that the air was different (both literally and figuratively)? Shinhye felt she was... well, "home" wasn't quite it yet, and that would be far too cliche... but she finally felt like she wasn't running from something, or running for herself.
Of course, she weren't just flagging any old person down the street and presenting the letter to try and figure out its sender - she used the map she was given along with some directions from locals to locate the police department, reaching out to the detectives to see if they had any leads. "Pythia" was the name she was given, and she was told that even if this "Pythia" weren't the sender, she would probably know of who was.
Honestly, it was surprising to her how quickly a lead was found, but Shinhye quickly realized she was on an island full of gods and demigods, after all. Everybody more or less knew everyone else, most likely, and if not, then she probably would have bumped into someone along the way who would have given her a name of some sort to track down. After that bright-and-early trip to the police department ended fruitfully (and much shorter than originally anticipated), Shinhye made her way to Pythia's temple, which the police department had happily scribbled down directions to for her.
With the envelope and all its contents clutched in her fingers and pressed to her chest, she now found herself at the entrance to the lavish temple, admittedly taken aback by its scale and grandeur. Before her knuckles could even make contact with the door before her, an attendant opened it up from the inside, eyed Shinhye up and down, and addressed her: "Daughter of Hades? Yes, we've been expecting you."

Pythia was certainly known for her meddling, at least these days. It was hard not to meddle, when you were gifted with powers like hers, after all. So, when she had seen a vision of a certain daughter of Hades who seemed in need of a nudge towards Mount Phoenix, she hadn't thought twice about it. It had been simple enough to look through the City Council's records and get Seo Shinhye's information, to write out a letter and buy some airline tickets and enclose some additional informative materials in the thick envelope.
After she had handed it off to one of her attendants, she all but forgot about it and turned her attention to other matters. Well, until the girl actually showed up in Mount Phoenix.
However, she did not seek the girl out. She hadn't signed the letter - she was not looking for gratitude or praise or anything else, really. She figured that if the girl wanted to find out who had sent the letter, then she would eventually show up at the temple's door. In her experience, chances were good that Shinhye didn't really care who had sent it, anyway.
So, she was almost surprised when an attendant came into her living room to tell her that Hades' daughter had, indeed, shown up. She made a big show of sighing dramatically as she set down the romance novel she had been reading, although at the door she paused to tell the attendant to put on some tea and coffee, just in case. This guest, in particular, took precedence over her leisure reading, even if things had just been starting to get good.
"Ah, Seo Shinhye, yes? Or do you prefer Rosalyn?" She asked as she entered the main hall of the temple, the flowing skirt of her rosy gown sweeping the floor as she approached the demigoddess - a few inches too long with just house slippers on. "I'm Pythia, the Oracle of Delphi... I must admit, I expected that it would take you longer to find your way here. Come, we can talk in my private quarters."
