IF YOU ARE ASKING QUESTIONS DIRECTLY TO CHARACTERS: keep it off story topics. I do not have the story or characters fully ironed out yet! I still encourage you to ask your questions, but keep in mind that I've only been writing out this AU for a few weeks.

I want to give this story the proper time to develop. This includes letting me plan ahead to give this thing a fighting chance.

My experience in writing is minimal, but I still want to ensure that this AU is thought out and well told.

I'll probably update this later but otherwise be silly and whimsical!!

Sooo...

this month has not be great for me. Recent events have lead me to decide that I'm taking a break from social media.

Ink in the Ichor will not be updated until I decide to come back, as to not put more stress on myself. It's become a sore subject for me given the source of it's inspiration.

I might still post the occasional spideyhood sketch but aside from that I'll be offline the majority of the time.

Sorry for falling behind on the askbox (again). I've decided now is the time to revive my social life, and I've honestly hardly touched a pencil 😭.

I've always had trouble imagining voices for characters but I finally landed on some

Chalice - Anastasia from "Anastasia (1997)"

Boris - Okarun from "Dandadan"

Eva - Lady from "Devil May Cry"

Alice - Ty Lee from "Avatar: The Last Airbender"

Cuphead - Spike from "Cowboy Bebop"

Except for Alice. Alice would say Penumbra is her hero.

OOoohh so does your au have like toons and humans living together kinda like who frame rodger rabbit things going on

Any humans in this world would have come from an animated source even if the human itself was not animated, so you could say that lol

Cuphead is demisexual, Mugman & Bendy are pansexual, Alice is unlabeled, Chalice is asexual

... and Boris is their homophobic dog or something idk

You said Bendy and Boris do something for Mother's Day, did they have a mom? Or parents?

I mean at some point Boris did but not currently in the story. Demons have a reproduction process they doesn't require the involvement of other participants (same kind of thing with angels) so no he has never had them.

Eva is an unofficial parental figure for them. Their relationship with each other is... interesting.

A lot goes unspoken between them but they all care for one another.

Bendy: He's not always sleeping but it's not uncommon to find him taking a nap in the middle of the day. The guy's in his eighties, so I can't say that I don't get it. But, to my knowledge, he gets things done... eventually.

Boris: Honestly, I'm just surprised he hasn't sold or shut down this place. I know I'd wanna be retired by that age if not sooner.

Bendy: *shudders* Hopefully I'm buried in riches by then.
