(I was at it again, torturing myself with insane amounts of small details. Why do I draw heavily textured or intertwined details on most elf outfits? I just imagine it's something they'd culturally have because of historical and psychological reasons.)

Ahh. I still like how this looks but *someone* kept telling me how much he dislikes every picture featuring this lady (he said she has "capitalist lips"!) and it ruins my incentive to include her anywhere :( In case anyone was wondering (probably nobody).

I guess I'll give an in-universe explanation of her absense as "yeah the situationship was complicated".

The Guy Not To Worry About

This guy is actually one of the players from the sword dance picture. He’s really into bladed weapon sports and historical reenactments, in part because of the advantage in hand to hand combat due to his precognitive abilities. Well, at least against opponents that don’t also have them.

Design-wise he started off as a “someone with higher socioeconomic indicators in regards to Stabri” and so he’s got some common themes to previous pictures. And to some I sketches with notes I haven't posted because I would have to organize them better for showing.

He doesn’t hold any particularly important position (evident from all his free time) but can trace his ancestry all the way to at least one person found in a textbook and several people with titles. Through millenia of selective pressure, precognition and similar abilities (such as thought sensing) have become very common among the upper classes (as they're very useful for staying in power). He seems to do everything with effortless grace.

ok so, I approached my local library with a proposal to donate a mural as a way to A: build portfolio/gain practical experience and B: give back to a beloved public institution. The director was very enthusiastic about it and i've been working on it since the beginning of March. Come with me as I endeavor to paint what is in all honesty an excessive amount of birds

I wanted the birds to look like they were actually in the space so first thing after doing the draft was to do a lighting study

after that I covered the walls in letters in lieu of a projector/vr headset bc i have neither of those :) Then i take a picture of the section of wall and superimpose the lineart over top of it so I can pencil in the lines

et voila

and that was a whole week on it's own so next comes the paintin' >:)
