All Might got hit with a de-aging quirk!
every time i start to feel cringe for being too deep in the hyperfixation i remember the intense depression i have waded through and have to remind myself that enjoyment is fleeting (so grab it with both hands), and life is for loving (so hold that love close), and if anyone thinks i’m cringe they must not be having a very good time (and i hope they can find a good time soon).

To pass the time on long rides, Bilbo starts absent-mindedly braiding Myrtles mane. He does it almost subconsciously and is completely unaware of all the dwarf eyes keenly watching him.
Because they're good braids, some of them quite complicated and no one can understand just how he knows how to do that.
The only conclusion they could come to is that the hobbit must have a paramour back in The Shire, some long-haired lass who he spoils with pretty love-braids.
Thorins temper had been truly foul after Balin had proposed the theory out loud.
After weeks of Thorin sulking, it was ever curious: Ori, who finally asked where Bilbo had learned such intrecate braid work.
Bilbo then flushed and embaressedly explained that he'd learned it from competitive pie decorating.
Love the idea of hobbits and dwarves having very different insults due to cultural differences, so something that could start a family feud between hobbits means nothing to a dwarf and something that would cause a dwarf to consider you an enemy for life likewise means nothing to a hobbit. Or, better yet, comes off as something else entirely.
This leads to an extended series of confusing conversations between Thorin and Bilbo, who spend the quest calling each other increasingly creative insults and then not understanding why the other barely reacts. This eventually fades into nothing for Thorin and fond comments Bilbo says to himself, at least until the disaster that is the goldsickness-induced breakup right before the battle. This time, they throw the worst insults they know at each other, but as Thorin really gets going, Bilbo stops with a completely baffled look on his face before saying "what the- fuck's sake- is this really the proper time for you to be flirting with me?"
Thorin, who has spent the entire second half of the quest wondering while Bilbo hasn't been responding to his attempts at flirting, snaps out of goldsickness from sheer shock.
Everyone watching this is extremely confused.
Cool and interesting and very witty caption
@anastheseus - author of this idea
I totally see the parallels between these two couples - it really could've been the Arkenstone instead of a rose
I also tried my hand at drawing a short comic for the first time. I hope the concept comes through. Basically, Thorin was a giant, overgrown beast while cursed, but even after the curse was lifted, he stayed exactly the same(mostly because he’s just naturally that huge and hairy anyway)
Can we as EraserMight nation please take a moment of appreciation for the fact that Horikoshi did not give Toshi some wack hair in the epilogue please. We are so lucky
wanted to make this for quite some time 💟
we bagginshield shippers know all these meta saying Thorin and Bilbo's scenes in the movies are super romantically coded, from cinematic point of view (camera angles, lighting, music etc)
what's better proof than this?

In a lot of folklore, faries are hurt by or reppeled by iron
Concept:
Due to Bilbos' fae heritage, he's allergic to iron.
He would say it irritates his skin, but truthfully, it burns him. Even small brushes against the metal make it look like he was burned by a hot brand for days.
He obviously doesn't think to bring it up with anyone. It didn't seem important until Thorin's hand gently brushed the back of his, and Bilbo pulled back with a hiss.
Thorin stared wide-eyed (and a little heartbroken) for a second until he spotted the strip of red skin Bilbo was trying to hide.
"You're hurt, when did that happen?" Thorin went to take the hobbits hand for a better look, but Bilbo skittered back in a slight panic.
"Ah no it-It..well I think it was your ring," Bilbo said.
"My ring?"
Bilbo revealed the small rectangular burn on the back of his freckled hand and Thorin had to bite back a gasp.
"I'm allergic to iron you see, it ma-"
Before Bilbo could even finish the sentence, Thorin had wrenched his ring off his finger and thrown it with all his might into the forest.
Bilbo couldn't quite find his words for a few minutes as he stared slack jawed in the direction the ring had vanished into.
Thorin had just thrown off his ring. Thrown it. His ring he had worn every day Bilbo had known the dwarf. He just threw it into some bushes and would likely never see hide or hair of it again.
Because it had hurt him.
The consort seems to be very serious in listing all the things he wanted to buy later on
Am open for commissions btw >w<//
another great ship dynamic is "characters who are deeply traumatized and haunted by nightmares are finally able to get a peaceful night of sleep in each other's arms"
good omens poster i did a while back bc the movie traumatized the hell out of me
(i keep forgetting to post it😭😭😭)
